John, everything about this footy club is a shambles.

But people believed the rubbish.

The true test for this footy club is how the club reacts.

We have been failing misreably till now... and its still the next test and reaction.
Cos with every obstacle there is a way a strong club reacts.

So far it has been steady as she goes no matter how average.
And it begins at the top and filters all the way down.

We are using panadol when we need to go in for major surgery.

Sticks is one of the dumbest guys i ever met... and Ratten is not too far behind him.

There is a culture problem at the club.. and it needs to be addressed.

Sack Ratts AND Sticks then. Hmmm, a broom through the joint would be good

Both great former champs though it must be said. Just not up to the jobs they've currently got. Bummers, Crows and even Tiges have gone past us, and quite quickly.

I'm sure people will pot you for saying that, because it sounds like an insult. But from where I sit it's an observation that is probably valid.

This is a serious, high-performance business. You need to be incredibly sharp to succeed. Both those blokes were great players, love the club, bleed blue. But you either have the brains or you don't.

I don't think they do.

Doc, we got smashed at the stoppages. Had it occured to our ruckmen to punch the ball into space and allow our supposed runners to run onto it ? It's no good getting a ''tap'' if it's inevitably sharked by the opposition. Our rucks today were simply dumb.

What runners?

No one is shepherding for their teammates.

Why blame the ruckman?

The opposition have been beating us at the stoppages even without a winning ruckman.

Well said Kouta.
I've said it all along and so evident again.
We are a selfish and lazy side.
Not commitment for a team result.
If you shepherd for your team mate you give him a couple of extra seconds to steady and find a target.
With hospital 1 meter handballs and pansy kick you allow your opposition to close space in pressure you and your team mate more and more.
You work and look some much better when you work together.
Adelaide are playing as a team and not worrying about how they look as individuals.
They create space for each other.

Maybe...just maybe...their hands are tied. We've had defenders in premiership years take ownership and coaches were fine with (because it worked)....perhaps the reins (or should that be reigns?) be tightened within the midfield...but work ethic is down...I'm not convinced coaches can do much about that....that's down to the players and they know it.

then there's a breakdown in match committee process - meaning the board has to step in, unfortunately

So let me get this straight. The coaches/mc want to make some changes but get overruled by Judd who has the support of the board?

Or have I got that completely wrong?

So if the players work ethic is down and they know it, that tells me the confidence in the coaching group is gone? Either scenario we're in a bad way an heading for a showdown internally if it's the case.

What would make sticks step aside? Who could or would replace him?

Ratts = great player, simply not up to it as a coach.

We need to get all the fundamentals right off field before we can be successful on it.

It's highly possible our side could of peaked in 2011.

Hey Doc.

Why are we too skinny?. Why don't we have more big bodied mids?

These are not Judd's fault as well are they?

..like it or lump it, Judd's still our best mid.. ..he's gonna be calling midfield set-ups to a certain extent.. ..he's a class above in regards to inside work and first possession.. ..for the majority of his career he's been so good that he could have the midfield revolve around him.. ..will remain this way for the immediate future.. ..bugger all depth in actual midfield talent, the depth is all in 'support cast'..

Good post. My point is that because this is the case - he should probably take some ownership of it. Internally he might...but externally, this should have happened in this mornings' presser.
