So i know that this will probably get moved to the Bryce Gibbs thread because I'm going to focus on him and where I would like to see him play, but feel free to add to this with players you would like to see moved.

Now I know a lot of you have been arguing about where we should be playing Bryce/Bryce isn't living up to his Number 1 Pick status, but alas, I have a plan.

Hear me out.

As a junior, I played football against Bryce from the age of 9 until about 16. He used to dominate. One place on the ground he would absolutely smash us in was CHF. In watching Bryce since he has started playing for the mighty blues, I have noticed that he is one of our best kicks and has a great overhead mark, and I think he would be our much needed answer to our forward problems. Sure, he may need to put on a few kilos in the next preseason or two, but I could see him becoming a Pavlich-esq type of player. He's only a few cms off Thornton and everyone is calling for him. I consider Bryce a better option, should we decide to give him a go.

Would love to know what you all think!

His best position is forward but not CHF. Forward pocket or HFF with 15 minutes on the ball. Playing the Chapman, Stuart Dew role.

To become a champion fighter you need to learn to take a punch.

Bryce Gibbs presently does his best to avoid being punched.

If he can live with taking a hit that might mean his hair gets put out of place, he may just have a chance at playing centre half forward.

How would anyone know? He hasn't been given the chance.

I'll throw the dice a little bit and see how McCarthy plays in Hendos position and Hendo CHF with Waite FF.Thornton should come back in and play three talls in the forward line
By all reports Buckley played ok and should give him a debut..
Judd, Walker and Robbo in the middle to give grunt and nothing but grunt similar to Hawthorns set up with Murphy & Gibbs rotating through HFF Betts and Garlett to stay in pockets

McCarthy will be a very good CHB. Is he ready now? Im not sure.

As for Topic, Gibbs could play as a lead up forward easily. Unfortunately at the moment he seems to used to fill holes. With Yarran out he has gone back again to help just when it seemed he was to play through the midfield.

This is an issue I have with the MC. Let the kid settle!!!!!!

Hendo to the forward line and do whatever other adjustments are required to get him there.

Depends who we play but Jammo/Laidler/Bower/T-Bird can surely cover the talls

I'm with you on that score, but I'd probably like Waite down back if Hendo goes up front. Maybe T Bbird FF?

Heard the very end of Malthouse talking about us on AW tonight. From what I could gather he was suggesting we use Warnock as number 1 ruckman, Krooze and Hammer inside 50, with Waite as the 3rd tall not the number 1.

Anyone hear the rest of what he said?

Think we play Waite and Thornton forward with a resting ruckman.

Henderson's been crap at CHF but outstanding in defence, don't really want to change that.

Gibbs more time forward.

Gibbs to HF is a must. His possies will result in goals...maybe use his tagging experience to look after an opp HBF who lkes to dash out. Bottom line is, he needs to impact on the scoreboard cos he aint impacting anywhere else.

Hendo and Jammo stay in the backline. Let them settle

Waite to play on the opposite wing to Simmo. Should run and carry bw the arcs

Thornton to FF

Our current rucks are fairly mobile. They rotate through CHF (AW and Gibbs support) with Jeff and Eddie providing the crumbing

Robbo and Ellard to provide some pack mongrel and ride shotgun for Judd and Murph. Robbo told to take out (legally) anyone breaking Judd's or Murph's balls during a game

Maybe Touhy can also be thrown in the middle for some physicality. Seems like he likes the rough stuff

So we need another KP forward - hmmmm
I am over the obvious being ignored because of us being so stubborn.
The very least Thornton should be supporting Waite but I still prefer Hendo!!!!!
