And McBurney!

be prepared for some ridiculous 50m penalties

Get prepared for some foul language coming from the stands
I was at the Swans V Carlton final with my brother after he had a skin full and he unleashed that bad on McBurney we all moved away from him and he nearly got turfed out

Well he is at the game tonight so if you hear a lot of F's and C's directed at McBurney you can bet that's my brother

Last time i checked.. noone expected Essendon* to make the eight last year or this year.

So the point is theyre not treading water right???

The Bombers have only played one big game in that time and they got smashed.
They are tracking pretty similar to last year, started on fire but struggled travelling interstate and when we got into the second half of the season.
This year they have travelled once and just beat Gold Coast and they can't even beat GWS.
You can dress anything up to suit yourself.

I can dress anything how I like?

answer me this!
who did we lose to?

Synbad, A couple of weeks back you were trying to put down the club by saying all we beat last year in the finals was Essendon*.
Now you are talking them up. I am confused.
I reckon the Bombers are a good side. Last year they faded and didnt get a chance to train up for the finals and paid against a super prepared Carlton.
They have been right there in the draft next to us all the way. They have a good coaching panel and decent draw.
They wont lose games at ES unless they are training up for finals in the last four weeks of the season.
We should still beat them on the G in sept though.

Sailor Man also had issues with us being able to flick on the switch after our 0-5 pre-season.

Are we wearing the light blue tonight? I assume we will be as it's an away game

Hard to rate the Scum
They have mostly beaten very lowly sides
Wins against Carl n WC but both sides were decimated by injury pre n during game
Ess have players out but only Hurley is anything I'd compare to Yazz or Carrots or even Laids (or JFK or NicNat or Embley etc)
In saying that, they have depth do Ess
Not many elites but lots of decents
So that helps them get an even contribution
They won't fade like last year as they've worked on their strength
Good team though. They sat high up the ladder early last year n this year n the ladder don't lie
Also in Watson (inside), Zaharakis (pace) n Stanton (endurance) they have a well balanced midfield n prob have space to trade for another top mid

Anyone could have beaten the Weagles this week, they were playing 7 first teamers short....

The Scum do this all the time, Hird is the genius till mid point of the season and they are not HIRD of again.

We saw what happen when we played them in September last year...

I believe we will win pretty well against the Saints tonight, hoping about 4 -5 goals.

All those betting on the Saints please bet more, you deserve the pain!

So you don’t think the fact they have worked on their strength and fitness over summer will mean they will play out the year better this year?

Taylor walker done for 2 weeks by the MRP. Can't see him getting off due to it being a head hitting the ground sling type tackle and they've been fairly consistent on that. You beauty!!!!!

(wasn't sure where to post this as there's no prematch thread for the crows game but thought it was worth sharing)

Kosi started to clunk a few last week and we need to keep an eye on that.

If we get first hands on the ball and we do have a clear advantage in the ruck, then it's how far Carlton but Lenny looks like getting back into pre-injury form.

Blues by 4-5 goals...

Kosi taking marks and kicking goals is his annual come good for a few weeks then go missing again.

The AFL thinks there's a difference between Walker's tackle on Taylor and Lovett-Murray's tackle on Priddis.

One plays for Essendon*.

They've overworked on building muscle hence the injuries. They're liable to fatigue mid year and beyond because of it. They're up and about while the other sides are still building. Once they lose one or two they'll lose a heap. They beat West Coast last year too at this time of the year.

Not coached by Ross Lyon anymore. Much easier for a St.Kilda forward now.

Apparently it's the Essendon* model we need to follow this week. Outstanding.

It might sound good in the short term but wouldn't you like all the opposition players in to see how we go against a full team?
I know I would.
The way I look at it is if you’re a middle or lower team you look forward to news like this.
If you're a top four team you should look forward to playing a full strenght opposition.
You're not only playing for four points against another finals contender but to gauge your strengths and weaknesses against another finals contender and maybe also for that small psychological edge.
