What do you mean by "trade laterally"? That means different things to different folks (unfortunately).

By the way; we peak next year not this year then I'm not too optimistic about what comes after.

Perhaps it's an amalgamation of trading and thinking laterally, or perhaps he just means don't trade old for young and vice versa, simply restructure the list to improve our weaker areas as perceived by him.

Aside from genuine inside midfielders, I think we're OK personally, just need to draft a new young forward and ruckman next year at some point in the process.
