Hard to pick a best player.

Happy with margin in the end....sort of.

Nice game from hammer

Welcome to the big time BOOTsma, well done lad.

It us hard for any team to keep up the intensity week in week out. Bring on saints.

Looked a lot better with Gibbs back behind the ball which is a trend over the last 3 years.

Agree with Ratts that we were no good clearance wise. Our stoppage work just looked completely different to what it has looked so far this year. Minimal spread too which makes our disposal look rubbish and we fall away from there.

As expected though we ground them down and then ran over them.

Looking forward to the next month. I reckon we are well placed to do very well and set up the year.

Clearances and general hardness at the ball was below standard. Lucky they gave the ball back to us so often.

Terrible the way we go inside 50, Betts, Walker, Garlett, Thornton all leading towards the boundary. No wonder we kicked inaccurately. Really need someone to straighten us up - it isn't the two ruckmen. Such a lack of system going in there. Even with Waite back I wouldn't call him a genuine key position player - good on the lead but bomb it long to the top of the square and he can be outmuscled/outbodied.

Good to see Bower show some dash and Hampson improve as the game went on.

GWS took a leaf out of Essendon*'s book and played extra numbers around the stoppages. Clogged up our play and added to their run, until they (like most teams will) ran out of gas.

On a hidin to nothing today, so an 11 goal win and no injuries(?) was a bonus.

All due respect to Waite and Hammer, but a gun key forward is our only weakness.

Just to add to Effes' point about the forward structure, I'm not exactly sure I can see what Barker's influence is on it? Hasn't really changed from Lappin's tenure aside from slightly better screening for marks.

First game I've made it to this year. Could have picked better... :|

We left out our main forward and our forward line struggled.

We left out our main midfielder and our midfield struggled.

Our back line was pretty much intact and they were solid enough.

There just didn't seem to be much flow until late in the game because every time we got a chain of possessions going the third or fourth player would butcher it and hand it over.

Hampson was BOG for mine and a great cameo at the end from Bootsma. When I first saw the footage of him he reminded me of Bob Murphy and nothing changed my mind on that today. I haven't seen much of him but so far so good.

Not much else to get excited about other than the return of Judd, Waite and possibly Yarran.

We really miss Carrots too.

From what I saw on the pc screen they really flooded...totally outnumbered us down back, ran it well through the midfield, and had nobody to Kick to up forward.

End of the day we conceded 50 odd pts, sit 2nd on the ladder, have a % of 160, 5 or 6 of our best 22 to come back, and other than an awkward one this week, a relatively good draw ahead. Happy days for now.

Was good. Came on at 3 quarter time, had 7 touches. Used it well except for one out-on-the-full, but that was forgivable.

With a surname of Bootsma, doesn't need a nickname. Crowd went absolutely mad whenever he got it.

Looked the same on my phone. Only problem watching the game on the phone is if someone decides to call it cuts off the football even if I don't answer it, which I didn't. Happened with 3 minutes to go..........grrrrrr!!!
