Essendon* have omitted Pears due to soreness. Not a hint of arrogance to omit a KPD for the match against the Lions at Etihad. Courage.

Judd, Carrazzo, Waite, Laidler, Kreuzer and Yarran all missing. Hope the club know what they are doing, this could backfire badly. Might be off the the worry room.

Carrazzo, Laidler and Yarran would not have been available regardless.
We may as well have thrown the names Jesaulenko, Kernahan and Williams into the mix.

If we were playing St Kilda do you think that Yarran, Waite, Kreuzer and Judd would be playing? Of course they would. My point is we already had injuries so "resting" several others may leave us vulnerable.

Judd was programmed to miss this game early on and we've hardly gone the whole hog with our omissions either.
Word has it that Waite and Kreuzer were genuinely sore, but I can't tell you that as a matter of fact.

At this stage I hope Bootsma gets a run. With only Ellard as a certain starter from the bench he'll have every chance of showing his wares.

Fair enough if Kreuzer and Waite really are sore. Just having 6 of our best out is a slight concern, even against GWS.
I also hope Bootsma gets a game, we havent blooded any new players this year and would be good to get a look at him.

Can`t understand the thinking of Bootsma ahead of Kerr.
