was sickening listening to the vitriol towards our own players

i mentioned it elsewhere but highlight of the night was megan gale turning to the knob behind who had been abusing hampson for about 5 minutes straight when hammer marked and goaled - gave him the dirtiest look and said 'was that good enough for you' the moron was dumbfounded and yelled to his friends "oh my god is that megan gale.... i think thats megan gale - hahahaha" said loudly i better not say anything about hampson anymore

then continued to bag everyone else

you can see him in wookies video of the megan gale shot - clown in the jumper with the old monogram to the back right (thankfully im just off screen)

freo fans were generally good after the game, they are not enjoying ross lyon football at all - i was seated pretty far from them so was spared most of their crap thankfully during the game, they were better behaved than eagles fans though.

subiaco oval is still a disgrace, was about 40 degrees up where we were sitting all crammed in like sardines - less legroom and width in the seats than the worse airline carrier you could ever imagine - seating at the mcg is about twice as wide and 1.5x the legroom

I saw that flog Grro. Unfortunately he has the same jumper that my daughter wears, I even pointed him out to her and gave her a history lesson on the monogram. I need to be more selective with my role models.

The crowd around me was pretty good, although we did lose some patience with Simmo just before he kicked that goal in the second.

IMO that goal turned Simmos night around. Prior to that he was having a bad one. I can't believe Richo said "Kade Simpson never misses" in one of the Wookies videos - makes you wonder if he actually watched the game.

Coaches' Votes
Fremantle vs Carlton

10 Simpson (Carl)
4 Scotland (Carl)
4 Walker (Carl)
3 Gibbs (Carl)
3 Murphy (Carl)
2 Duffield (Frem)
2 Hill (Frem)
1 Joseph (Carl)
1 Robinson (Carl)

I am a bit surprised by these votes.

So both coaches gave Simmo 5 and neither coach agreed on the remaining players (ie both coaches gave their votes to 4 different players)
I would have thought that would be most unusual.

Joseph gets a vote for his job on Ballantyne and Crowley not even thought for shutting down the best player in the comp

These coaches have a funny way of looking at things

Duffield should've had all his votes taken away for that marking contest with Betts in the 2nd qtr

That's right all the commentators did make a point of saying that "Judd was well held".

The fact that only 2 Freo players made the coaches top 10 belies the theory that Freo outplayed us and only their errant kicking cost them the game.

You could say that our errant inside fifties and misses flattered Fremantle.

It's the media. They can spin it anyway they want and pass it off as 'expert commentary'.

We went there, got the points, and had no injuries or suspensions.
That's the tale.

Ch 7 are copping their fair whack now.

Interesting that Monga said both sides will be playing finals this year - That means that Freo will have to come in for someone. Also, Collingwood and *edit Hawks* Geelong should both scrape in which would mean 3 in 3 out.

Can't see Freo making it TBH.

As a LOL to Ross, Ratten should have given 1 vote to Jack Anthony.

With 16 Judd still had 5 more contested possesions than anybody else on the field.

Yep, Crowley is a champ.

Sadly some people seriously wanted to recruit Jack to Carlton. I wasn't one of them. Thank God that sanity prevailed !
