Pros - 4-1
Winning without Judd playing well or Murphy dominating
Depth. Players coming in did a job.

Cons - We scored with 12min left in the 3rd then 1 more goal for the rest of the match. Too many uncontested Docker marks in our F50 during this time. We went forward with purpose up to that point then indiscriminate after
Lucas didnt kick his super sub goal

I don't get to the footy much, and this was the first time I have seen the Blues win in the flesh in over 10 years. It was sweet and I even bought my little girl an Andrew Walker badge to mark her first ever live win for the Navy Blues :)

That's awesome Ponky. Took mrs camel about 5-7 games to see a win too. It was the game against Richmond at the G where Allan made his return from injury and Fish kicked the winning goal. It's a sweet feeling for those of us unable to get to many games.

Pros:
Walker's return
Managed to overcome a slow and uninspiring start and looked quite good at times (see Simpson-Walker running goal)
4pts away after a poor effort last game

Cons:
As BV said in the post-match thread, we didn't hurt them enough in our F50
Went too many long periods without scoring while controlling the game
Another 90 seconds on the clock and we may have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory

Pros
- Won a tough game interstate
- Won a tough game interstate with a lot of players seeming a bit quiet
- Walker hasn't missed a beat
- Henderson was very good
- Kicked straight

Cons
- Simpson and Robinson's first halves
- Too many turnovers inside 50
- Usual WA umpiring
- Would have lost if Freo kicked straight
- Channel 7 camera work is appalling

Geez.......... what an 'interesting' game.

Skillful / woeful / entertaining / frustrating.............. all at the same time.

Pros-

- Walkers return.
- 4 points
- Kade Simpson
- Winning on the road again!

Cons-

- Still haven't 'clicked' yet (but injuries don't help that)
- Did we win or did Freo loose the game (had they converted a few more easier shots that they should have?)
- Are we trying to be too defensive? (that 1st qtr had about a dozen incidents when we tried to go forward but had nobody up the ground!)
- Kreuzer, Sugar and Zach are all in my dreamteam and all had crap nights. :banghead:

Pros;
Walker, pity he didnt hold that marking attempt
Robbo and Simpson's second halves
Straight kicking for goal
No injuries
4 points on the road
One less time we have to wear those hideous light blue jumpers
Enjoyed seeing John Anthony being subbed off, what a spud
Terrific support by Blues supporters over there

Cons;
Terrible game to watch
Light blue jumpers
Channel 7 camera angles

SO SO TRUE.

Channel 7 have been getting worse and worse, almost as bad as our M&M blue jumpers.

Pro's
We are doing everything we can with the players we have and showing some real spine.

Con's

Last night showed again we need a Big bodied forward and a big bodied onballer if we are to win the prize.

PROS

Won a game that in years past we would have lost. There was a sense of confidence in the group that the game was within our control.

I thought Hendo was really solid.

Loved Eddie's clean hands early in the third -- I thought he was silk and really sparked us during that patch.

Walks was terrific. Such an electrifying player. Also, his interview after the game (as compared to his interview after his first game) highlights his maturity ;)

I also thought Jamo improved a lot from his performance the week before.

We were able to control the ball for long periods of time and shut them down.

No injuries and a nine day break.

CONS

Obviously the last quarter fade out.

It felt like we got smashed at the clearances, especially in the centre square (the stats may not back that up but it was just a sense)

Judd not kicking that goal from a setshot in the last. It would have iced the game.

Some of Simo's turnovers in the first half but he fought back manfully so he is excused.

I also think Zach Touhy has lost a tiny bit of confidence which is perhaps not surprising given he is still finding his way.

and getting in the way of a certain goal from waite in the goalsquare

Pro: Won without a genuine ruckman - i'm pushing Warnock's inclusion

Con: Warnock's form needs to be good enough to warrant call-up

Pros

We won!
Hanging on to our lead so long in that heat and humidity. Never hurt us badly the end but by then our lead was too great. Too many are simply underestimating that effect. Can't finish if you have nothing left. Reckon we were struggling with fatigue by mid 3rd qtr. That's one valuable 4pts.

Pros:
4 points at the house of pain - not many will come away from there with points this year
'Depth' players stepping in and doing their job = competition for spots

Cons
Channel 7 - FFS have a look at how they cover the EPL and learn!!
Walker spilt mark of the year (what a leap though!!)
