Judd, Murphy and then not much else in the middle. Premiership teams have 8 to 10 midfield groups that bat deep. Very deep. We ain't got it and we ain't contenders
Judd, Murphy, Robinson, Simpson, Gibbs, Scotland, Curnow, Carrazzo when he returns.
It was as good as any before the Essendon* loss Marci. That doesnt change after a week. We'll be contenders, we just wont win every game.
What irks me BV is that we come out before the game saying how we have matured, we can cope with expectation, we are prepared for those filthy scumbags and what do we dish up? @#$%&! tripe!
Robinson - geez, he'd wanna start improving disposal efficiency!
Simpson - good mid & accumulator, would be close to elite if he could finish in front of goal
Gibbs - not in the mid enough and at this stage of his career I am wondering why the reluctance to play him there? Ratts has no confidence in him?
Scotland - lucky he is still going well at 31. Near the end though
Curnow - ala Robbo. Midfield footsoldier with erratic disposal
Carrazzo - shame about injury. Always been a fan. He will lose a lot of upper body conditioning with this injury which will not hold him in good stead when he returns
BV, to be honest, we need more then that list and even those mentioned above you could probably only mount a strong argument for 4 of those tops. It needs to bat deeper, have more quality and that quality needs to stretch right through to number 6 or 7 of the group. Ours gets to 3, maybe 4 at best
