That was some of the worst football we have played for three years. Lucky not to be further behind. The dumb Jarrod Waite has turned up today, when the pressure is on he just does not deliver. Too cute and not tough enough. Simmo, Kreuz and Murph ok, skipper needs to lift. Taking #14 some time to adjust, cannot chase and catch any one with any speed. Carrazzo a massive loss for us. Chance for the second teir to stand up Curnow, Robbo, in particular. Thoroughly pissed off right now. Even Fletcher kicked and davey has three - WTF is that? Oh and Chris Yarran - pull your head in and do the task asked of you, no millionaire stuff! The Scum just want it more than we do. Very, very disappointing. The next half will be very revealing.

It's funny but we have a weakness against sides that run through the middle and Essendon* loves to do it. If you don't use it, you don't defend it.

Agreed.I was thinking the same during that quarter.Thornton on the wing and across half forward has been
very serviceable.

No prettier on the front lines let me tell you. If they don't get the bake of all bakes from the coach there are serious issues. Soft, unaccountable, frightened and making this pack of brave duds looking like Geelong at their best. I am @#$%&! furious and to top it off I'm surrounded by red&black arseholes.

We're 10 goals better than them, and we believed our hype. Simple as that.

+1

We have even have a pre-match discussion thread for the Fremantle game already.

Short memories some ppl.

Dont think we are the problem.

Not suggesting we are the problem but i think the saying one week at a time should also apply to supporters as well.

We assumed that we'd walk all over them (might still happen) but history suggests that whichever team is lower on the ladder in these games tend to fire up a bit more than the average game.

Ratts is allowing them to have a loose man in the back line and they are just marking everything we send in there.

Crazy stuff to let them push this man up to the middle and stoppages. Malthouse can see, but we're not doing anything about it.

We are too short up front. No point kicking to Eddie or Lucas. Where are Hampson and Kreuzer resting?

Why is Waite playing up the ground?

I'll scream if I see Robinson launch into another ruck contest with his own ruckman.

Did it again to Hampson in the first half.

The lad tries hard but has no composure.

Robbo has been very poor.I hate his lack of discipline.Being hard at it is one thing, but giving away 3 or 4
frees in a half of footy is not good enough. It will cost us in September.

Tell Wookie to have the week off if this shit continues.

No spread, poor tackling, no intensity, no pressure to keep the ball in the forward line, too many cute options, outnumbered at contests, too many loose Essendon* players on the overlap, etc etc.

Great sides could still win from here, but with 3 down - forget that Laidler and Curnow are out there, they are barely just going - we'll be lucky to keep the margin as is.

I've said this time and time again on this site. And I know everyone knows I being silly saying it but Ratten should be moved on. He will not win us a flag. Look at who we have beaten this year all coaches that are new and starting their careers. When we play a good coach e.g. Hird/thompson he has no tactical response. Its so clear to the other coaches in the league that our list is awesome, but our weakness is our coach.

Allowing them to drop loose defenders in our forward line, drag our defenders into the middle, open up their f50 and not getting physical enough or attacking the ball well at most stoppages.

Between that and our reckless use of the forward press we are leaving our players equipped with a strategy that is going to further drain their confidence. You can see them rolling down too much to stem the tide.

We'll be better in the second half but we need to fire in the third to set up for a shot at the four points.

No change will make an impact unless the players lift their intensity.
