The only one of them that likes to go the knuckle is Hurley and then only if you're of Indian ethnicity and have a profession as a taximeter operator.

I really hope he's selected to cause more headaches for Bumbers plus get a game into him before the Freo game.
Judd mentioned last night OTC that Tex is ready but its all up to the MC.

Bring on Tex (if ready)

Walker will be playing with the Northern Blues this weekend.

Perfect sub for the Freo game, then full game against GWS

Game is live on channel 7 here in Perth. The slightly early start. If you can't find a pub anywhere with a TV will do.

I just hope they show up.
They've got form.
(as in form for not appearing on match day)

Did anyone ask Ratts today about the futile task of curbing Ryder?

He is following an old textbook last used by Justin Madden.. Its incredible how Ratts looked so young back then.

Also we have seen weird things happen in Essendon* games for at least the last 15 years. Carl V Collingwood have generally been whoever is better wins, not so much these ones.

I am slightly nervy because of that, but all logic tells me we should win comfortably,

I would say the last 30 years of this rivalry would suggest there's a chance we could lose it.

HIGHLY unlikely however

Even moreso if Essendon* do choose to rest their oldest player and their gun forward.
A dilemma for The Dons.

I just watched the Collingwood game again.
Collingwood has a better midfield than Essendon*. We slaughtered them.
Cloke is better than Hurley (atm) and Hendo gave him a lesson ionhow to play CHB.
Our small forwards are better than theirs, although Jetta is pretty slippery. His battle with Yarran should be good.
Crameri is good but we will have Gibbs or Touhy on him and on current form, he won't run amok against either of those.
Hille is out and even the almighty Ryder, whom I rate highly won't be able to dominate our rucks.
Waite will get Fletcher and if Fletcher just tries to play loose, we should go long to Hampson in the square and the goals will come.

On raw form, our 3 wins count for more than theirs. We have played better teams and won by more.

The only thing that could cruel us is if they get off to a quick start and we kick poorly in response. Another half time score of 3-14 will not go down well. The good thing is that we are scoring a lot of goals from close in so the misses are fewer. Easy misses by Eddie, Kreuzer and Garlett notwithstanding (two posters frome very close plus one brain fade).

If we don't win by 40+ Ratts should give them a serve. They haven't improved 100 points over the pre-season since we last played them. Maybe 20. We have improved 20 easily.
