Virtually any forward line would be successful when your midfield runs rampant like Friday night.
The media are getting carried away.

I'm tipping anyone who has any sort of niggle will be replaced if replacements are available. Dempsey likely to miss, Carlisle likely to miss (not that it would matter), and we may find even Watson is given the weekend to be cherry ripe for the Pies. Collingwood are under pressure to deliver 4 points on the weekend, and therefore expect Collingwood will field as strong a side as possible, so Essendon* will grab this opportunity to rest as many as possible.

Also means if we paste a C grade Bombers outfit they'll give some (more) excuses.

If it's all over red rover by 3/4 time, bodes well to be fresh for the Freo trip the week after.

I really hope he's selected to cause more headaches for Bumbers plus get a game into him before the Freo game.

Judd mentioned last night OTC that Tex is ready but its all up to the MC.

Bring on Tex (if ready)

Tim Watson on SEN yesterday more than intimated that Essendon* should focus on the collingwood game as they have no chance on Saturday. Can you believe!

If the Bumbers don't field their strongest available side and basically "forfeit" the game in lieu of Collingwood, I will openly support the Black and White on Anzac Day and hope it all backfires.

Anyone notice that the people calling for the brave to "forfeit" this game have been their own? Why would they deliberately downplay their team's chances like that I wonder?

This is a lame attempt by "the brave" to protect their long term investment in the ANZAC Day game, they get blown out of the water in this game and the call will be out to give the game over to a team that can put on a bit of a fight.

We owe it to ourselves to spiflicate these bastards.

Not sure they'll be put off by the threat.

Walker won't play until the GWS game. Perfect game for him to come back in when we are resting a few players. He can get back to form in an "easy" game. Makes perfect sense.

I'm after some help from whoever can provide it.

I am a Captains Club GA member, i generally go on my own.
My old man is a standard GA member.
This week against the scum we are going together and i'm having real trouble booking tickets. I am being told by ticketek that my old man's standard GA membership, for which he has essentially paid for his entry to X amount of home games, cannot be used to sit with me in the CC, so he must pay full price ie $35-40 to sit with me. I said to the consultant i dont understand why but just move us to another section where we can both use our pre-paid entry via our membership to sit together. I was then told that this was not possible as my seating area is CC. I seem to be going around in circles and im certainly getting frustrated.
I eventually gave up and tried online. Once i enter the 2 barcodes it wont let me select any tickets as the 'memberships don't have common entitlements'.
F#$% me.
I just want to sit somewhere within the 95,000 seats, together with my old man, and either of us not have to pay full bloody price (as we shouldn't have to).

What do i do?
Any other CC members have this issue?
Any help at all would be brilliant
cheers

We got extra tickets online with just our CC ga memberships. Might be too late for that now? Try to purchase x2 tix with just yourbarcode.
good luck.

I reserved two seats, had another mate buy standing area tickets and got him in once I found 3 unattended seats behind me after waiting a quarter for people to turn up.

It's a term the media love to use for the filth when you think about it they have a point.
Like when we drew with them last year with all there injuries oh and when they had to travel to adelaide a few years back and lost that final by 258 points oh and when we beat them by 62 points after they had to play port a week earlier at etihad.
Just so so brave

elim final team 2011.

Chris Yarran Lachlan Henderson Michael Jamison
Aaron Joseph Jeremy Laidler Nick Duigan
Kade Simpson Chris Judd Heath Scotland
Jeffery Garlett Andrew Walker Mitch Robinson
Eddie Betts Setanta Ó hAilpín Bret Thornton

Robert Warnock Andrew Carrazzo Marc Murphy

Interchange: Bryce Gibbs Dennis Armfield David Ellard
Substitute: Marcus Davies

This week: Likely ins from last year: Tuohy (for AJ), Hammer (for Setanta), Lucas (for Davies), Kruezer (for Warnock) Curnow or MClean ? for Ellard
Bower ? (for Thornton), Waite (for Walker)

Improved line up - or about the same?
From memory Thornton did well in the slim final against the bombers and may be worth a recall..

I think I would like Thornton back fro this week...
