As for the BB matchups quote before, those are plausible (that was two midfield tags for them, Carrots tagging Watson and them playing a defensive HF on Yarran for the person who thought it was 4 tags; two midfield tags is a struggle though), but there looks to be decisive edge in our favour, and a few poor thoughts in regards to Hampson's form.

That's 2 mentions now of Dempsey to Garlett, in regards to being "much better than Mcveigh" and "keeping him honest", yet it was Dempsey that Garlett kicked 6 on in 2010, when he paid him absolutely no respect.

Bomber fans will give themselves a chance, by convincing themselves of how they have seen themselves improving in certain areas, but as we all do at times, failing to factor in that the opposition may just well be even better than the one that towelled them up last time....

Waite, Krueze, 2E, Hampson, Lucas inclusions. Judd not run into the ground, Jamo on more than one leg etc.

No doubt they'll set themselves for this just as we did on Friday night, and the Kangaroos did tonight, but games like these - when considering how healthy a list such as ours is currently - should not be lost.

We should pay Essendon* some respect which I"m 100% sure the coaching staff will do to the blues players as the Scum's confidence will be up after having 3 wins on the trot. Fair enough it hasn't been against great opposition but you can only beat who you're playing against.
Having said that, we are by far the better team and should give them a bit of a hiding Saturday, just don't want the baggers (& supporters) to get ahead of themselves.

The scum will be drained from their match in the rain & heat on the Gold Coast and we have the extra day recovery without the travel. Should be a good atmosphere though at the ground, hope it turns out the same way as the Elimination final last season!

I'm all for the players and coaching staff paying the Bombers some respect.

Not something I'll be doing, however.

I agree. I'm sure Hirdy in his prematch isn't going to use the fact that "some random called BB74 on the internet thinks we're shit, so we're going to show him arent we guys" as inspiration. Nor do I expect to see any of my posts pasted on all the players lockers.....Donstuie and Agro might get a run though.

Not that it's happened this week yet, but I always get amused when some posters worry that us not taking the opposition seriously will have some sort of effect on the actual game.

Team selection ... I'd go unchanged.

Apparently Brock had another very good one in the twos and must be considered close, but I reckon a team that
spanks Collingwood by ten goals deserves to stay together. Less changes the better.

Maybe Walker in for Bower or Armfield.

The key to this game is Robbo to Fletch, when we've done this, a spanking always ensues, although Ratts might keep that up his sleeve.

I love the fact that we have somewhat slipped under the radar... Yes we have had people rightfully praising us for our performance, but most of the focus has been on how bad the Pies were. (Thanks Mick for continuing it longer)

Dont think this group is one to get ahead of itself.

The Bummers have us on Saturday then a 4 day break to ANZAC Day. Plus all their brave injuries. I guess their conundrum is "which one of our bitter rivals do we want to fail against more?" LOL.

As far a I can see Essendon* have a handfull of players that need attention.
Watson, Stanton, Ryder, Hurley and Crameri.

Watson is their main weapon with extraction and good disposal and decision making, we put our best tagger on him then let Carrazzo make Watson accountable when we break, a hugh win for us.

Stanton finds space and only receives the ball and not very accountable. If they can't give him the ball his a liability and cracks under pressure.

Hendo or Jammo team against Ryder, both have the height, strenght ans speed.

Hendo and Bower take Hurley if he stays forward and again both have the same weapons to defeat his and also run off him when needed to create a loose option.

Crameri you can have Laidler, Bower and Duigen to keep him accountable but I think Duiden might get first crack at him.

If our ruck's and mids keep playing in the same way we will flog them.

Only change I would consider would be Tex in if he is ready to go.

Hard to know who to drop - maybe good to give Armo a rest to make sure his knee is totally recovered

Lucas only had 11 possessions ... I think he has a big future ... but a rest won't hurt him ...

Walker IN... Lucas OUT.

(Also but it won't happen yet ... TBird IN ... Bower OUT ... This is for you jimmae  )

See the Bumbers talk it up, up,
They think the Premiership's in the bag,
They are shouting out that they're 3 and 0,
But the teams they've beaten are ranked so low.

See the Bumbers talk it up, up,
The better teams need not fear,
They think they're the best,
We LOL at the jest,
See the Bumbers talk it up!

After listening to Greg Swann on SEN this morning it sounds like Walker won't be playing this week, probably another week on the sidelines.

Does anyone have any news on Dempsey? Will he be playing? He's a big loss for them if he's out.

If Dempsey plays he'll be underdone, so I hope they do play him.

Either way we should pants them if we're serious about our intentions this year.

Oh... See, I just thought that the point was that Kruezer is the best up and coming ruckman, you know, out of the NicNat and Ryder group. And that's fair enough, I can see a case for that. But you actually think he's the best ruckman in the league? Like, in three games, he's jumped ahead of Sandilands and Cox? Wow. Really? What on earth can you possibly base that on?

Anyway, not here to troll as i said, it's your forum and I'm the guest, so... keep thinking that I suppose.

You actually sound like a reasonable and intelligent person.
Makes me wonder why you are impersonating an Essendon* supporter?

Essendon* usually lift when they play Carlton, (recent results excepted), but I think you might be in a spot of bother this time. On top of everything else, I suspect that the Gold Coast heat may have taken a lot out of your list.

Definitely NO Change. The side is developing and doing well and no one is pushing for inclusion. Walker will have to come through reserves after a long period out and there is no rush to get him in.

Carrazzo on Stanton. Watson will get thrashed by others.
