Ah dear - if you head over to twitter there's an alarming number of people off their medication who seem to think this makes Essendon* a certainty for the flag... kinda like how beating Port Adelaide by 7 points in Rd 23 last year set up their finals campaign

At bomber blitz they acknowledge that they were lucky, played poorly and were given free ride by the umps...
Rare humility...

Don't worry, they'll be back to being a bunch of delusional wankstains (thanks for that, missnaut  ) soon enough

I think it's us that are beng the delusional ones.

Another early sub
Another soft tissue injury
They had to travel to the Gold Coast (horrible place this is )
They got rained on tonight
One of them had to overcome the trauma of being bitten by a dog in order to play
One of them had to overcome the trauma of owning the dog which bit him in order to play

SO FLOWERING BRAVE.

:donk: :hitcomputer: :donk: :hitcomputer:

If the AFL had an annual bravery medal, forget cups - Essendon* would need several cabinets to store all their medals.

I'd accept 10 goals if we're a little off our game. 80-100 points should be expected if current form is maintained. Also at least one injury to the brave ones.

P.S. How good was Harmichael K's hit tonight? You know the one

Whenever this disgusting mob of sash parading, gene pool polluting, gutter crawling, barely hominoid arse drones are mentioned I feel a violent and sudden urge to retch.
The mere sight of their craptastic wank-fart supporters turns my stomach.

Carlton will destroy this mob of should-not-breeders.

On this occasion the deserved response following victory is to ignore the opponent.

It's only Essendon*.

Right now they don't count for $hit.

As much as I echo the sentiments and general loathing of the Bombers, I'm mildly concerned about this game. The Bombers are struggling at the moment; but they have a nasty habit of getting under our guard, despite our recent history against them. FWIW, I'll take a 1-10 point win, only because it will be a real slug-fest- echoes of 1999 preliminary final. Only the positions are reversed. :yikes:

Matches against Essedon often go against form.

This is a danger game.

I'll take any win against them.

1 point, 20 goals, don't care.

As long as there are no injuries or reports.

Nah, Essendon* used to beat us based on speed through the midfield with spuds killing us with their run.

Thats all turned around now. We're killing sides with our speed and run through the middle of the ground.

We'll smash them.

Agree not being complacent but just don't think we will lose this one. It's like Manchester United v Aston Villa. Whoever sets up a stand outside the G selling lubricant will be immediately rich.

If we believe the hype and drop off our intensity then Essendon* will pull our pants down.

I, for one, don't want to get Reimered.

Early in the season always seems to be closer than the return meeting. I'll be happy with a 10+ goals margin.

This is pretty much what I think too. Every game is a danger game of course, but we're a much better team and should win comfortably. Love the way we're running teams off their feet in the last half and reckon we'll do it again this week.

Things are working well for us this year opposition wise. Brown injured when we played Lions. Collingwood struggling with some injuries. Essendon* losing Courtney Dempsey the week before they take on our speed merchants.

It's nice going in to a match against Essendon* not feeling any nervousness at all. First time in a long time.
