I myself can't wait for the day that James Hird "retires" as coach of Essendon* for "family reasons".

Me and Donstuie will need resuscitation.

If they didn't get so many injuries last week (so brave) they would have rested him this week (so brave) so he could play his 350th against us (so brave).

BombersBlitz putting Ryder in the same league as Kreuzer. There is no team in the league who would take Ryder ahead of Kreuzer, its a laughable comparison.

My favourite quote was:

I think Kreuser is better than Fraser, but I'm not sure I'm ready to listen to Carlton fans like Robert Walls as to his 'up-side' being so incredible that he will be the answer to all Carlton's tall woes just yet.

Comparing Kreuzer with Josh Fraser?!?!

We have tall woes? We have 3 ruckmen better than their best ruckmen! Essendon* have been living off this myth of their awesome spine for years, and how we only have midfielders. I was hearing this around 2006-08, how awesome they were going to be with Jay Neagle, Darcy Daniher, Courtney Johns, Lloyd, Lucas etc etc.

Lets smash these clowns, most delusional club in the league still. Though Richmond were getting there prior to R1.

For me, beating Essendon* is the one non negotiable, must win game(s) of the year. words cannot express the loathing and contempt i have for this club, and in particular, their supporters.

Whilst I think Curnow has been ok - I wonder if it is worth giving Brock a crack to see if he can be better..
Would also swap walks for Lucas this week if he is right..
And keep Bower in the back half!

As much as i like beating the pies for some reason beating the bombers is the most enjoyable....

The Essendon* Football Club and it's fans represent the most bloated self-important ignorant bunch of wankers you are ever likely to meet. I can't stand talking to them about football and their overblown sense of success and 'promise' and that every second rate dud on their list is equal to Judd (Ryder v Kreuzer  ) and their complete unwillingness to ever cast an eye on other players and actually do a fair comparison. If every player was so good wouldn't you be in the Top 4? You are a bunch of inflated tossers. And yes you do wear a girly sash.

And to commemmorate my 5000th post on TC, I just wanted to confirm this with evidence:

It was only in 2011 that you realised Always Davey was such a hack.

I rest my case.

My only change for this match would be to start with Duigan and make Lucas the sub.

If we believe the hype and drop off our intensity then Essendon* will pull our pants down.

Agree Duigan should start for this one - don't think this is a danger game. Good resolve and belief in this group and will get the job done @ the G. More concerned about Freo @ Freo.

Looking forward to being at a game in Melbourne for the first time in a little while this weekend.

Will be with an Essendon-supporting mate - by golly I hope we smash them. There is absolutely no reason other than being completely flat why we shouldn't.
