Just watched the last qtr again

How Armfield did not receive a free kick for being coat-hangered by Jack Reddin is amazing.

Reddin should be close to being cited.

CH7 showed the incident but no comment from those pricks

The maggots are @#$%&! blind :donk:

curnow continues to worry me - does some good things but got caught holding twice last week and probably should have been pinged again tonight.

I realise that the way holding the ball is interpreted these days you're probably right and it should have been holding the ball......but surely you're still allowed to break a tackle?

the tackle slipped rather than being broken. its the decision making that is the concern though.

Still deserves his spot in the team but if he gets caught again over the next few weeks then bring in mclean

A question about Armfield - was he tagging someone tonight, didn't seem to see him much (although I missed quite a bit of the second half in particular)

He had a quiet night tonight and got caught with the footy on the burst, which is unusual for him.
When Jamo and Duigan come back, I think Russell and Armfield might be the ones to make way. Russell first because he hasn't got the pace. Jamo will go to FB of course, Hendo to CHF so Bower should hold his spot and go to one flank, Duigan to the other for Armfield. The other consideration is to drop Bower and keep Armfield or Russell just for a balance of height and run, although Bower has been pretty reliable these first two games.

bowser's been more than pretty reliable. He's been excellent in both games esp tonight. Really taken his opportunity with two hands...good on you bowse!

Still suffers from the Bowerisms... stuff that only he could do.

ie. a handball to Laidler that went 5 meters straight up, free kick when slapping Rich on the snoz whilst trying to sheppard, that demented right foot checkside (3rd) on the wing that led to a turnover when his left side totally free...

That said, for years he's been one of the players I've really been gunning for to succeed. Has his chance now and I really hope the MC give him a real chance, even if he stuffs up a few games.

I thought we took it to another level last night. That sort of football will win you at least 16 games in a year and a near certainty to finish in the top four. Our precision with the ball was first class. I think we have the best runners in the league now, which will take some stopping and would have scared a few other teams. If Judd and Murphy are in our best players then I am pretty confident we will most games. They are super players. However, I have to keep reminding myself that we have only beaten Richmond and Brisbane. There is a long way to go. All I want is for us to have a good injury run and give ourselves the best chance to do some real damage. Unlike last year where I thought we were unlucky.

Some pretty big praise from Vossy post match

He's wondering if he could trade for our CHB and our young goal kicking midfielder in jumper #9

Easy guys ... we've just cleaned two probably bottom five sides.
Professionally done, but the real examination starts next Friday.

Yep - The coat hanger was received with silence and a non-discussion. Amazing.
Reddin will go for that, no doubt. But look for 1 week at most - as it's accidental, non-forcefull, etc.
Now if that was Waite.....

Spot on. I dont think we're getting too carried away though.

A lot of media will be getting excited though, start jumping on the bandwagon and our premiership odds will tumble.

Brissy had a very short break. I am not getting too excited about the win. That win was courtesy of the AFL draw. Thank you Spew

Its not the win thats so exciting for me its the look of the team and thinking we still have some real class yet to come in, our depth is looking amazing and if we stay injury free i think our team measures up with the best.
Loved it last night lest knock these ferals off friday night.
Its a blue easter

We have demonstrated in the last 2 weeks is that we can score very quickly once the opposition drops off their intensity. We will destroy a lot of teams this year and i expect our % to be in the top 2 or 3. However the opposition so far tell us nothing of how we will cope with teams that can play for 4 qtrs. The woods will be our first real test.

Just have to mention Carrots.
Stellar job keeping Black to 23 touches while racking up 31 of his own. Seems to have the offensive tagger role sorted

you'll have to pay $19.95 but it has the replay and all games live online.

One was special in particular because a Brisbane player was diving over him to spoil the footy. He kicked it under the spoil and it never traveled more than a metre above the grass right to its intended target.
