No change.

Don't rush Jamo or Duigan back. It's more important to look after Jamo's long-term best interests than have him playing in Rounds 2 & 3.

Persist with JR for at least another week.

I'd be comfortable with bringing Brock in for Curnow, but I doubt that's going to happen...

JR Hendo Laidler
Yarran Bower Scotland
Simmo Curnow Gibbs
Carrots Waite Garlett
Betts Hammer T-Bird

Kreuzer Judd Murphy

Armfield Lucas Robbo
Tuohy (Sub)

I agree, longish plane trip and short break.
Not ideal that Northen have a by but another couple of weeks without physical contact and stress on the body won't hurt.
A hard week of training will be just as positive.
Plenty of time to gain fitness for the coming year, but I do see him playing against Buckley's
boneheads.

Waite no case to answer. Sensible decision (I reckon it was another brain fade though). I like the club's low key response to it all.

Right decision re: Waite.

Can all the people who potted him for 'stupidity' or lack of discipline etc. apologise?

no. he got himself reported. I was in front of the collision, he could have avoided the type of contact made. It's Waite being Waite; he's from the Fev-school of slow learners.

It was cleared ie should not have been reported.

No way known did Waite deserve to get suspended or even reported for that incident. Plain wrong umpiring. I cannot understand how any Carlton supporter could possible think SOV would go for that.

As for Jamison - yep short week, interstate trip - no Brown - give him another run in the VFL and get him right for the G round3.

No VFL game this weekend (Bye), so if Jamo doesn't play for the Blues on Thursday he'll be underdone for Round 3. In other words, if he doesn't play against Brisbane then I wouldn't expect him to play for Carlton until Round 4 at the earliest. I for one am totally comfortable with that if it means Jamo gets himself right.

Well interesting ... didn't realise that at all. Now this is a conundrum
If that is fact - I would play Jamison against Brisbane. Need him against Pies.
Interesting decision coming up for the match committee.

With brown out, Brisbanes most dangerous players are black abd rockliff. I think carrazzo is a perfect match for black, and I'd give army first shot at rockliff if he goes forward as he did against Melbourne.

Don't take too much from their win over the dees, Melbourne were just that bad. We will win this comfortably.

Interesting to note from Twitter feed - Ratten apparently saying Warnock would play VFL football this week.

Has Ratts forgotten about the bye in saying that, or will the Bullants twos be getting a few extra players?

Will the Bullants twos be playing either?

I dont think the club minds using the NB twos if needed. Pretty sure it has occurred in the past

Reckon we might see duigs back this Thursday, but not Jamo.
Duigs at least has already had the Brisbane practice match prior to the Nthn Blues game to get match fit, whereas Jamo has only had 8- % game time last Saturday.

Does the VFL reserve have a game this week that Jamo can play in?

With the talls we have in Hendo, Bower, Laidler Thornton it's not inconceivable that Jammo could get 3/4 of a game against the pies.

No. The umpire incorrectly reported him. FACT!

Story is that we are having an intra-club on Thursday.
This makes perfect sense for the boys not heading up North and getting some further game time into Jamison and Duigan.
Warnock also likely to present himself here.
