Pros

Great to see the peripheral players demand a spot in the 22.
Hampson, Bower, Curnow, Armfield, Lucas.
Hammer can become a star this year.

Well done to Ratts and the coaching staff.

Great to see Waite back out there. Great target. Difficult match up.

Midfield is a powerful unit, and good mix of strengths.
Kreuzer is part of that midfield. He's a freak.

18 goals...12 goal kickers...Walker to come back in...mids to add more on the scoreboard.

Plenty of room for improvement.

Laidler...amazing..like Kreuzer.

Carrots is our best tagger as he gets a bit of the ball too.

Blew out a few cobwebs, plenty of improvement to come...including Jamo, Duigan, Walker and Warnock.

Bryce "Mr Fix it" Gibbs: a mecurial player. He's special. His year to rise to the top.

We'll start the year in the top 4 and remain there for the year.....hopefully.

CONS

Missed too many easy shots for goal.
Missed Walker, Jamison, Duigan and Warnock...sorta.
If I hear anything negative about Gibbs.

Pros for mine outside the obvious were:
- Hampson providing the target and having confidence to kick for goal. Could have easily kicked 4 which would otherwise constitute a breakout game.
- Bower did the basics very well other than 1-2 errors. Very good game. It's good when you don't notice a defender.
- Yarran getting a lot of the ball in midfield
- Won without Juddy having to do too much

Cons:
- Kicking for goal
- Lazy field kicking at times cost us 4-5 easier shots on goal
- Half forward line lacking given Walker's absence

Cons: The day Matty Krooz gets one of those male model undercuts I give AFL away. Yes John nicholls medalist and the other former number one draft pick from Glenelg i am talking about you, mr Ed Curnow looks like he escaped from the Thompson Twins circa 1985.
Some of them look like they should be hosting Saturday morning kids shows not playing a contact sport.
Yarrans boots brought the game into disrepute or he has a third party contract with WorkSafe.

Funny you mentioned some haircuts. Murphy, Gibbs and Laidler were seen at my local hairdressers in Macleod earlier in the week. Robbo's haircut is a shocker and agree about Curnow's too.

Jack Riewoldt's looked like he fell into a wood chipper.

Curnow's reminds me of late '90s Kouta.

Pros:

We are talking about haircuts instead of:

- our 0-5 pre-season record
- how good the Tiges look pre-season
- how shit Bower is
- how Gibbs is piss weak and will never be elite
- some inane Synbad vs everyone else bait-fest

Me three...

Their do's were definitely a talking point amongst our house.......they would look ok with $10 worth of product in them but when you get out on the field the sweat washes all that stuff out and they just stick up and look completely ridiculous!

Commetti said it was the Corporal cut.

Looks more like the marine cut...

Gibbs needs to slap Carrazzo in the back of the head if he feels like kicking.

It's life imitating art. Or more accurately, art imitating GIBBS

Pros:
Only mediocre opposition, but great to see the team finally put together a decent performance.
Probably most pleased with our taller players. Hammer's best game. Bower's best game for a few years. Kreuzer was terrific. Hendo did a great job on Riewoldt in the aerial contests. Waite and Thornton competed and contributed well.
Really pleased for Lucas that he managed to make an impact. Hopefully he gets a real confidence boost out of this.
Carrazzo was outstanding. Helped turn the game.
Defence was good. Not to mention getting a couple of goals out of Yarran.

Cons:
Jordy's confidence looks shot at the moment.
Mitch looked rusty (although he had a good last quarter).
Judd still looks a little rusty (although it's great we don't rely on him so much anymore).
