Cant read too much into that game
Its a first up game.. and really the intensity was pretty flat.
Richmond were terrible and abit early to be slapping ourselves on the back.
The media did its bit to give the game some kind of interest.

Tigers.. wont make the eight.
Martin doesnt have a tank.
Cotchin isnt really a player when the opposition have the ball.
Deledio was underdone and lazy.
Its bomb it to Reiwoldt.!!!

and defence is a shambles.
Ruck is Maric.

Had no real fight in them...

Just on that as well - watch the Yarran goal again, and see Martin stop running after him so early too. That was what I first noticed too.

Duly noted by other clubs as well.

Are you serious find faults with Martin, Cotchin and Deledio? They are vertually carrying the side. Tigers are crap because of there bottom 10 are very average. The blokes you mentioned are carrying the weight of the team how much more can they do?

Richmond's tackling was terrible, reminded me of ours in the dark years. Really our game was way below the level of Hawks/Coll & Fre/Geel.

The good thing is we have plenty of improvement in us...by season's end we won't be going 30 min against the Richmonds without scoring a goal.

Find faults in everybody and you should be examining the better players , they set the tone for the lesser players.
If they want to be players that get wanked off by the media and stay on playing for a mediocre side forever...they shouldnt expect any criticism.

Some people are too precious!!!
These are elite athletes playing in an elite comp... they get paid elite money.. but you want sub par examination of their performance???

The blokes i mention are supposed to be setting the tone for the others.

Unless youre expecting Morris to????

The poor kid threw his body in and tried his guts out... he might not be at AFL standard... but maybe a few others should take a leaf out of his book regarding effort.

Anyway, im not here to get on a soap box about Richmond.. just pointing out.. they have a culture condiotioning deficiency for success.. and it will continue on for a while judging on that performance.

Hopefully we didnt count our stocks after that!

Yeah i pretty sure alot of people were wanking over some of their players....they have been doing it all pre season.
Ultimately its Groundhog day for them....and their better players can do more to improve themselves and the team

Duly noted by Richmond supporters also.
That guy has so much potential though.

A little surprised at Thornton and Betts missing some easy shots as they are normally fairly reliable kicks, although Eddie did get cleaned up just before one of his shots.

Hopefully it was an abberation with Eddy. His set shot kicking last year was excellent.
Thornton's pretty reliable usually. He wasn't missing by much. 2 posters I think?

Armfield is a must in the 22. It's his pace we need in finals. It's his pace that keeps up with the Rioli and Milne types. It's his tenacity that enables him to stick to a task...dog-bone like. He was fantastic and a real stand out.

I'm a fan of Armfield's as well. But I'd have Joseph in to play against Rioli any time. He does a number on him every time.

That's what Andrew Carrazzo does every week.

I think that Richmond have definitely improved since last year.

Turn the ball over time and time again???

Carrazzo gets found out when the game goes up another level.
This was Richmond...it was circle work.
Watch the replay... no pressure!!!

They didnt chase.. and they didnt pressure.

Then watch the West Coast final again.....

I watched the replay and he got 17 contested possessions.
No doubt he turns over the ball but if he had tattoos on his neck he might just have a bigger reputation.

I think if Carrazo had tats it would only draw more attention to his shortfalls.

So, let me get this straight about the Sunday Footy Show; Carlton win, and yet 80% of the discussion is about Richmond?
