That's just so wrong Dominator.
Re-consideration required.

So its ok if she's a Mum, and by that definition....a female...but she provoked it?

I don't think thats what you meant to say at all, poorly worded.

People need to go to the football, have a good time, have some banter with the opposition if you can handle it, but leave it alone if you can't.

I watched the game with another TC'er on Thursday night. We sat next to a couple of female Richmond supporters and managed to stir them about the game without feeling the need to punch them...despite the fact one of them had a mohawk painted yellow and black.

Totally agree with you on that one TBB- My mate and I stood with a gang of Richmond supporters in M12 and they were great, good banter and no harsh words thrown. By contrast, in the last 1/4, I got challenged to a fight by a very knocked-off um....you guess it, Carlton bloke. A real angry ant!!!! I go to the footy because well, I love it and also, I enjoy meeting up with peoplke I normally wouldn't meet anywhere else. And, 98% of the time, they're fantastic- it's the 2% you worry about. So, who ever did this to the mother, please don't come again to ruin it for everyone else.

Sad if society has had to change to realise that punching out a lady/female/girl (really anyone for that matter) is a good idea.

Its just a reflection on society.
You can get the living daylights kicked out of you on a train.. or stabbed at a night out.

Its the breaking down of society and community and responsibility which has been evolving over the last couple of decades at a pretty rapid rate.

There may be a breakdown of community, however acts such as these are far from a new phenomenon, or something thats creeped into society over recent years. Thugs and assaults have unfortunately been in society for a long time - Not that it excuses this act in any way.

Definetely bad news.

Dick heads like these guys are everywhere...even in the 60's and 70's.
They are all tough with their mates around them. Poonces on their own.

Like other teams, there's plenty of Carlton supporters who need a good spanking. We don't need them.
I've had a couple of run ins with Carlton supporters at the footy who use bad language or want to fight.
Not a good look, but you get that...just have to weed them out.

Pretty rare youd see a woman bashed 20 years ago.

On the news this week i can think of a good half dozen off the top of my head including a couple of stabbings...

50-60 years ago and it was an unspoken norm in society though...

I understand what dominator_7 is saying - having a vagina should not bestow any special treatment or considerations upon you these days. Thats what equality is all about isnt it?

Having said that, it's pretty damn clear that anyone who wants to pick fights at a footy match and behave like a complete ass-clown needs to just @#$%&! right off. I am a soldier and never shy of saying a few choice words when appropriate, but families attend footy matches and no matter how passionate you are, there is NEVER an excuse to lose your cool to the point where a reasonable person would have to ask you to tone it down in front of their kids. If it reaches that point, its sign #1 that you need to either pull your head in or watch the footy from home instead.

I hope whoever instigated this behavior is found and duly dealt with. The Carlton Footy Club (and AFL in general) is about everyone enjoying the game of Australian Football. Not behaving like animals in what is supposed to be a family-friendly environment.

/end rant lol

Geez, I thought the bloke who said he posted on here that I sat behind last night was bad enough.

Me and my mate ticked off every player in the 22 that he potted throughout the night. Did not say a positive word about his "team" the whole night, a lot of it was stating the bleeding obvious crap to be seen as an expert. Your thoughts about passing over Megan Gale if you had the chance really solidified yourself as a thinker of life.

Row B, Q15, Southern Stand...disgraceful.

It was in bay M57, I was in row W so couldnt see clearly but could see something was going on in the first few rows of the bay. I was more concerned with the game and people standing up to see the brawl getting in the way of the on field action.

The most pathetic thing is that it took nearly 10 minutes for security to come and diffuse the situation, and police didnt come until half an hour after security escorted the thugs out.

They were a group of around fifteen 16-25 yo thugs, I wont describe their appearance as I might get labelled a racist in this PC forum but Im sure most of you would be able to read between the lines.

Idiocy all round by the sounds of it, and no surprises there. Saw a bloke get ejected in the MCC because he couldn't keep his temper in check. The Richmond/Carlton rivalry is probably the most bitter in terms of pure animosity.

Me and a mate sat in that section, we reserved seats online, I dont think those blokes snuck in there.

But yes, Carlton vs Richmond games always have a minimum of 2-3 punch ons :fight:

Oh and a great effort by the HS to throw in three references to soccer in the one article  Maybe if those over zealous police officers and riot squads who patrol AAMI Park when heated rivals like the Central Coast Mariners visit town were stationed at the MCG last night instead it wouldnt have taken 15 minutes for the situation to be diffused.

I know a bloke who used to be a copper in the Carlton district in that era and earlier. During our games, believe me when I tell you there was a reason why you didn't see too many fights at big public events.

Why the "name and shame" business? Just to give you blokes a vicarious thrill? Or is to pump up your own tyres by showing that you are not biased? I don't think it does anything for these type of people anyway. They'd probably get a kick out of it.

Anyone who is a [REDACTED]... if you get caught...

Just strip them naked so theyre not hiding behind friends or knives.. or hoodies.. theyre totally exposed.
And just get a few guys to give them a good old fashioned thumping.(Robert Walls style with his ring of death )
anyone caught... it should be automatic... no suspended jail sentences..no good behaviour bonds.. no short stints in jail.

Stripped naked so its just themselves up against the mother of all thumpings

Most of the time theyre hiding behind something....wherther its a drug or a weapon or a gang...or some lax law !!

Maybe you're right. Maybe you're wrong.
But I come from the same school of thought.
Most people understand that language.

Let the so and so's get away with it and they think their behaviour is condoned by society.
Find them and name them.

they do it cos theyre hiding behind something.

Just take all that away from them and just give it to them hard!!!... so they can feel totally as defenseless as their victims.

Worst thing is when other people see something happening., theyre scared also.. and choose to not get involved.

When thugs start getting society to turn a blind eye.. its time to throw away the gloves and ....
