Also, both Bower and JR need to take this opportunity to re-establish themselves. Paul is in the team through need, but IMO Jordan is very lucky to be there.

Nothing wrong with Murphy. Good to go.

Lucas the most likely sub for tonight.

One last crack by that piece of irrelavancy in KB - hoping he can get some people ringing in to his show, Tiger Ferals today saying how they are going to pump us and our lot ringing him tomorrow telling him how stupid he was for tipping Richmond.

I feel very confident after seeing the sides. The Tigers goal to goal line wd have about 50 games between them. Very inexperienced and Rance is crazy brave, but a battler and I like Waite's chances of cutting up Jayden Post. Our rucks are much stronger as is our midfield, tho the Tiges mids are good. They look like us three / four years ago, but without Judd. Blues by 45.

I am a little more confident, but 4-5 goals is a realistic margin...

Waitey looked cherry ripe against North and will give Post a bath.
No one will be able to hold Eddie tonight and I'm putting him down for 4 or 5.
It's funny how over a short pre season people forget how pathetic Richmond were last year.
They lost to Port and Gold Coast. We smashed them by 100 points.
Yes they will improve this year, but not that much.

We will win this comfortably

One thing to look at is experience. Nearly half their team are under 50 games. 3 are under 10 (2 are yet to ever play).

Kids don't win you important games.

Carlton should have enough experience to put this one to bed.

Any more news on this? Mates and I were planning on going in General Admission.

Plenty of seats in AFL Members. I just bought a ticket for a friend and he scored level N

He also said Vickery will go well past Kreuzer this year :screwy:

As I said earlier I find it very bizzare what people in the media are saying about this match. Thing is if we flog them by 10 goals, they will claim it was to be expected. Though there will be a lot of anger at Tigerland.

I don't understand why they think they will be so much better this year. They were barely competitive at times last year, with basically no injuries (Riewoldt wasn't 100% but they didn't have many top liners missing games). Barely half their 22 would get a game for us.

The hype is so crazy you would think they were playing our 2002 side, and there is little point in any of us showing up. Riewoldt will kick 15, and the greatest midfield duo of all time in Martin and Cotchin will carve us up.

Any sane person looking at the lineups player for player would be expecting us to win. Its only the numpties like the David King's of the world who can't look back beyond a month of football who believe we will lose.

Fact is for them to win something out of the ordinary will have to happen, like us off our game significantly, we kick really inaccurately, or some Richmond players have like career best games.

I expect at least a 5-7 goal win.

I shouldn't have to tell you that Carlton are known to be masters of being off the game and kicking inaccurately.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Grimes went to Waite. He looked very good in the NAB.

I don't think anyone (even in the media) is suggesting Richmond is a better team than Carlton. Just that exposed form dictates they're a lot closer to their best than we ahve shown to date. Throw in some key injuries and it's not an unreasonable position for them to take.

As soon as the Blues can prove that the way they played pre-season has not carried over into the proper season.

I guess we'll know in 9 hours or so.
