Having thought a bit about it, I'm more and more confident we still have the tools to win this game. So much has been written about "how are they gonna stop Riewoldt and Vickery?", but little about how Richmond are going to stop Murphy, Judd, Gibbs, Simpson, Scotland, Yarran, Betts, Kreuzer etc.

Yes we have injuries, but even with those we should still beat teams like Richmond if we're fair dinkum about this top-4/premiership contender business, and if I hear it used an excuse should we lose, "I'll spew up!"

Watched their game against Geelong and it was clear that Geelong just weren't going in hard while the Tigers had a full strength squad in.

The midfield wasn't all too impressive, Cotchin and Martin were nifty around goals though and Riewoldt did well. Miller took clunked some nice ones too.

We'll beat them in the midfield and our small forwards will run riot.

Remember too in the same pre-season week last year they beat a similar half a Geelong side by 69pts as well.

Bullant's practice game last week indicates Rowe will come in and possibly play in defence.

There's your first 20 goals Rexy.
I reckon Betts and Garlett will kick more than 2 each.

Should win by at least 5 goals.

They will have to match up on Betts and Gartlett, i honestly think they would be more worried about them two than a Kruzer/Waite/ Hammer forward combo... those boys Betts and Gartlett can create havoc in the forward line and really hurt them

I think you're moree on the money Juanita.

I was being a tad conservative.

Waite at 2.5 seems right, but what if he kicks straight? 30.30??

Still haven't watched that game again Rexy.

That's revved me up. Love the footage of Eddy.

Really great opportunity this Thursday for Bower and Russell to play a significant role for 2012.

This is their line in the sand. They can help their team mates get the win on the board and in turn there will be a sense of belief in their capabilities...and capabilities they have in truck loads...just need to deliver the capabilities.

I hope both show some physical strength at the contest because players without confidence usually play without gusto and that's how both seem to have played this preseason...yep, both of them...and I dig them both...a lot.

Piss off the tentative stuff and have a dip fellas.

Richmond press doesn't seem as effective as the top 5 teams of 2011, so I think Bower might get away with more this week than he normally would against the bonafide challengers for the flag...but its the start of good things...if...
