How many of and which of Brock, Curnow, Ellard (is he fit?) get the nod?
And which of AJ, Army, JR, 2E get the nod?
Mes thinks Bower did enough today

it would be all good if we had doull, hunter, harmsey, big val, mcconville, southby, des english, curly austin and co to rotate in our backline and combine with the feared on ball brigade known as the mosquito fleet.

Yeah, dem were the days. Anyway, it was just a bit of a joke to lighten things up a bit, it's going to be a long year, we're gonna have lots of ups and downs. Save a bit of energy and let's not get so worked up so early. Let's see what happens next Thursday night, then bring it on. Well, that's my two cents.

Elvis has left the building.

I can see Kruezer dominating in the ruck in this game. He could be the difference between a Carlton win or loss.

im keeping my powder dry for now... but, based on what we've seen in the praccy games this year, i'm a little concerned. if we see more of the same against the Tiggers, expect a TC meltdown.

TC has meltdowns when we win.

Don't worry about it.
Just means they'll be fresher later in the year when it gets serious.
We've got plenty enough fit blokes to get the job done.

After today's result, and the result of the pre-season, the bookies have responded:

Richmond, who started at 3.00 several weeks ago to beat Carlton in Round 1.... have increased in price to 3.50.

But will we have enough wins in the bank to benefit?

That's the big question isn't it SC?

Only an opinion of course, but I think we will.

We have enough of a core now that's been around long enough to know that there's no point busting
a gut, (or anything else), in the pre-season. I think, perhaps with one or two anomalies, we'll steam roller
the bottom ten, (and that includes Richmond). We know we're good enough to "push" the top 2-3 teams, but
I think we're ready to start beating them .... and that's what makes this year particularly interesting.

The guy I'm looking forward to watching is Bower. IMO he is very underated and, given good health, is going
to be huge for us this year.

As an aside, there's a Richmond guy at work who's been at me all morning ... "0-5 ... 0-5" he's singing away.
Chirp away little bird I'm thinking. Ten sunny days left for you.
