Smart move, it'll force those who want to fill the comments with witty stuff like "Carltank" and "Brown paper bags" to sign up to their premium service.

Here is what Mark Robinson said.

edit: Not sure we should be posting their premium content at all....certainly not the whole article and certainly not without a link to their website.

Thanks for posting this Roy, a good read. When you read those stats put together in succession like that, it really gets the juices flowing... Fingers crossed for an injury free year, especially for MJ and JW this year!

I was to stubborn to sign up to the paid news service and am switching to the age (oh god..)... ha ha.. In a few weeks I am sure I'll fold, but right now I'm sticking to my guns...

Win-win for Robbo. If he's right, he's a genius. If wrong, more fun for the large "Lol Carltank!" readership they have, and he can blame us for making him look bad.

Robinson and Connolly banging the Navy Blue drum...hmmmm.

The optimist get excited and starts planning the Premiership party.

The pessimist/conspiracy theorist moan about two Essendon* men heaping extra pressure on the hated enemy.

The realist wants to know how Jamo's back is doing.

The Carlton tragic oscilates between all 3!

We'll moan either way. Bad articles are media bias, good aritlces are conspiracy theories!

Go to the Daily Telegraph's website to view this premium content. :garthp:

Why Carlton can win the premiership Mark Robinson

Unless News Ltd. promises to hack my voice mail, I won't pay to read their website.

Interesting how both base their views largely on how we ended last year. Given I'm yet to see much obvious improvement in any of our players so far this preseason, I don't share their confidence that we're going to improve enough.

Hope they're right obviously though.

I'm interested in who they have picked in previous years

Yes there are... most people are idiots.

As for paying to read HeraldScum content, forget it. There are ways around their pay wall

Not happy with this premiership favorites shite... We haven't earned it and don't deserve the tag and I'm not sure where they're (media) coming from tbh.

It's time to man up.
We don't lose because someone pumps us up in the media.
We lose because we are not tough enough mentally or on the field when it counts.
We have the capability to win the flag.
- Provided we bring our A game every week, all game no matter who we play (although we may not always field our A team - but whoever is on the park should be bringing 100%).
- Provided injuries do not hobble us

There are probably 4, maybe 5, teams that can win it.... on current info. We are one of them.

Zach Touhy & Andrew Collins are two who have improved from last year.

Betts looks like he is ready to assume Miline's tag as the best small forward in the comp.

Henderson looks ready to become a AA backman.
