Lappin didn't have Buckley's speed. I see a Campo who didn't debut until he was 20 years of age. Buckley's yet to turn 19. I would be content with a Whitehead who also had some toe.

Have said it for years....Paul Bower = Bambi.....dear in head lights.

Really has no idea, crap myself every time he has the ball.

Should have kept Carlos and got rid of Bower, at least you were entertained and were guaranteed 100% commitment.

The Setanta we passed on to draft Rowe?

Bower's decision making isn't as bad as Setanta's.

Love how everyone gets their knives out after a practice match.

The same Rowe who has yet to even play a game for us?

Weak argument.

Nothing weak about that argument.

If Setanta's that good and worth keeping, why didn't the club re-draft him and pass on Rowe?

Love how some get all worked up after a practice match in 30 degree heat in Feb.

Why are people fixated with the scoreboard? It is irrelevant for us these days. That's for the bummers, tiges, dogs etc.

These games are also not about the top line players who are clearly playing well below themselves and we know what to expect come round 1.

What interests me is how the fringe players are traveling, more so how they've improved from last year - especially the ones that have been there a while. They're the players that need to impress and try to claim for a spot for round 1, and don't have the luxury of coasting.

From yesterday's games I like what I saw from Lucas, Collins, Hampson

I don't like what I saw from Bower, Watson, Russell, Armfield

Good thing is there are still two games to blow off the cobwebs...

bower will be OK
Russell had the biggest elbow bandage ever!
army will be OK. not a good game but it all is compensated by his willingness to run hard and tackle hard.
usually he is OK.

Watson should go back to the forward line where he has played all his underage football. definitely not a natural in the back line. that splash from the top turn buckle was pretty good though.

and how about that carrots?
former best and fairest and just one of the first picked!. no wonder we don't draft midfield players when we have front liners like carrots.

clinical senior player!

I'm with bluegirl. I like vaginas.

Hey El Kaptain, was that a Freudian slip, or do you really like the multiple/plural versions?

Bluegirl, speaking of watches.
On ebay there is this guy from Ukraine , he has the most amazing watches.
Theyre quite historical , he has ww2 u boat issue watches and SS Gestapo watches from the SS
He has German Paratrooper watches.
They look amazing.. often he has a story attached to his selling blog about the watch (For example Doxa brand) and then a story about the regiment they were issued too.
He gets some huge prices as every tom dick and harry believe him and want their very own piece of hisroy.
These watches look amazing.. meticulously dialled with insignia etc.
But if you look very closely you sometimes find accuracy mistakes incorrect dates etc.
But people still buy his watches.
Sometimes they are converted pocket watches into wrist watches.. beautifully re dialled of course.

Really funny.

People believe anything if they wanna believe anything...

We've really gone backwards since the great dual premiership team of the 2000s.
