Not worried we didn't win it is only February.

Positives are as follows:

Murphy is class
Curnow looks back to his early season from from last year
Lucas showing he was worth the pick we used on him great play
Kreuzer is such a good player he created at least 2 goals with his pressure in forward 50.
Hammer read play well and took a few grabs and good kicks for goal
Yarran love the boots and he can justify wearing them with his class
young players in Bootsma, Buckley, Levi showed promise
Brock showed the most I have seen since he came to club I hope he keeps it up.

It's only Feb but skill errors from Armfield are costly. Love his courage and the way he takes the game on but if you just give it back to opposition then its a waste.

Bower showed some good things but some crucial errors cost us 2 goals just needs to be better. It's Feb so prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

In racing parlance; they'll be better for the run.

I'm ok with what I saw. Scoreboard irrelevant. No interest in being February champions. The coaches would have got plenty from the snippet of a scratch match that it was. A good base to work from over the next 4 weeks for the senior squad. Practice match for the umpires and coaches too.

+1 Hammer took some strong grabs. Hendo looked good. Yaz neat and lively, Jeffy has some spark. Good run for Big K, Bower, JR, Sugar, Curnow, Collo, Brock and a few others.

Alot of rust with the skills. The last 2 minutes of both games saw players make some big mistakes that cost dearly plus a few iffy calls by the Umps that just went the wrong way. Who cares???

Might just be alittle wake up for those getting ahead of themselves.

It was decent hit out.

Regards Cazzesman

The woeful commentary and stupid umpiring annoyed me more than most of our actual performance.

We may have won if we had have played our best half back flankers.

No depth at half back.

You mean like 'Collins didn't play much last year' ?

#%&* idiots. Do your homework.

Any one else see a new Skinny Lappin in young Buckley?

Rowe & McInnes both missed, which I think points out that the squad of 34 was finalised to 32 prior to the first game.

We seem to to be a bit schizophrenic at the moment. Toughened up on the training track but miles behind in terms of match readiness. The last month or so we seemed to have slackened off after a really heavy start, it's no wonder we didn't play too well. How does it all prepare us for the season proper? :?

Wasn't Skinny a frontrunner for mark of the year a few years ago?....he took some great pack marks during the early part of his career.

Guess it's pre-season for the umpires as well. That was terrible in all three games.

Good for the run - reckon we are probably three or four half backs short of a real challenge though.

Have said it for years....Paul Bower = Bambi.....dear in head lights.

Really has no idea, crap myself every time he has the ball.

Should have kept Carlos and got rid of Bower, at least you were entertained and were guaranteed 100% commitment.
