Bower didn't get a lot of the ball, but when he did, he generally found the more diffifcult, but correct option.
Some canned him, but I saw the positives in what he tried to do by taking the game on.

Carrazzo did wear 44 but after half time there were two 44s in the Navy running around with the imposter also looking like Carrazzo, just to confuse us.
He along with Judd in particular have certainly trimmed down.

It's a real pity we have lost Mitchell for the season as he would have been the first of the 2010 tall drfatess to be getting regular games.
McCarthy will start coming on this year and probably put himself in serious contention next year and Watson may just well show us soon enough whether he is a boom or bust.
McInnes is neat but may just be superfluous to our needs.

Word is that McCarthy is now close to 200 cams tall and needs a little more time to grow into his frame and may be developed over a longer period as a 2nd mobile ruck man????

Thatnks to all.
Did Rowe play?

I was disappointed with Garlett's effort at about 2:50 in that reel. he gpt a free about a metre out and instead of going back and kicking it, just dropped it onto his boot and kicked it. It may have been the camera angle but in a real game it may well have been asmother and a lost goal. He is too lackadaisical for me.

Have I missed something? Thought he was back around round6/7

No you haven't missed anything expect by the time Mitchell gets back mid year, the forward post will not be there for him any more, unless injuries force the issue.
Rowe is also injured and will not play for another couple of weeks, but now looks likely to be there come round 1.

McCarthy 200cms.? He doesn't look that tall and is still dwarfed by Hampson (who must be more than the 201cm listed)

So just to clarify, Mitchell is on track to return but in your opinion he won't get a gig?

Almost identical to the incorrect free that was paid against Bower in our 2010 win against Essendon*. :garthp:

Mclean, Ellard and the third player in the clash guernsey were pinged for dragging in it and hatching it without an opponent scrapping for the ball.

Always a free.

Lucas showed terrific acceleration after he ran onto Murphy's deliberate chip kick.

If Lucas was Buddy, he could have run for another ten metres without having a bounce.

There weren't 3 players from the same side on top of the ball with one opponent tackling them. The ball was in dispute and the bloke who gets the free kick had the ball in his hands by the end of it. It doesn't make any sense and it's a stupid rule.

And Jimmae, you can't say that because Bower was nearly caught it was a bad decision to take on the tackler. He drew two men to him and then handballed to a teammate in the clear. It was the perfect play. Ridiculous umpiring.

Why waiste time going back to have a set shot we all know he can kick....

Thornton going backwards to Mitchell when he was so close was more of an issue....

Can't see it happening baz.
Hard enough for a regular player to make their way back after a protracted injury, let alone one that hasn't played a game yet.
Had he started the year with a couple of games under his belt, who knows how it may have panned out.
That moment has gone and Rowe now has first crack.

Yep, I can see your reasoning. We need to factor in a very strong preseason prior to injury. He was named as one of the stanouts fron Abu Dhabi/Doha. He will get an opportunity with Hyde when he returns. Pressure for places will play a role, particularly with in season injuries. Agreed some preseason games would have been beneficial, however I think its just a tad early to call, but as I said I see your reasoning

It was a handball in hope and Russell was sitting back as a release option, reacted to the play and came into support. Davies was the guy he should have dished off to earlier, and I think he was trying to with his scrubbed handball; he was about 15 metres in the clear of anyone on the field.

Ellard jumps on the ball, Brock bumps another teammate out of the contest and wrestles with Ellard for the ball. They're always pinged if two players from the same team lock it up instead of moving it on. Bit of a laugh after Carrazzo got the free and showed his appreciation.

He pretty much lost me at "healthy list"
We have no less than 12 players who can not front up next week in Adelaide.

Lame effort from CFCTV. :|

What a bizarre comment
All highlights packages show the goals its like golf only show putts NRL only show tries and cricket only show wickets and boundaries
You may get the odd speccy shown but usually its the play leading up to and the goals
It was a good effort and continuation of good stuff that is coming out of the club lately

You have very low standards.

Unfortunately, Caz, he does it during the year proper as well. He is too inclined to not do the percentage stuff at times. He is exciting, exhilarating even but sometimes he is also frustrating.
