Renewed our 3 memberships today - as being AFL Members with Carlton Club Support package - I wait till the last possible day to give the AFL my money. :mad:

No update yesterday, but new figures this morning. 28,066 Members now. :smile:

Renewed 2 today, so there is a $grand to the club.

The lass I spoke to in the membership department was very helpful. They seemed busy as it took 8 minutes to get through but was worth the wait.

Gave up my AFL Carlton support package when they tried to run us out of town. Had been a member since its inception. They rang me up twice trying to renew. Told the girl specifically why not renewing and I asked to speak to her boss. Like the BIG BOSS. Never got a reply. :razz:

26,794 around about this time last year, but it was definitely 27,789 as of the 10th.

We've also just clocked over 100,000 likes on Facebook. Still a bit low considering it's a free way of showing your allegiance, but when you put that alongside the presumably low adoption rate of FB for people over the age of 40 I suppose it shows there's a big market to tap into.

Are the AFL allowing non-access memberships to be counted this year?

I spoke to the membership dept. approx 6 weeks ago and they said it may be a possibility this season.

I buy 3 baby blue memberships each year that we never count... I'm guessing we may have 10,000 of these ready to add, ala Richmond and Essendon*.

I don't believe I've ever seen a tally of Carlton non-access members...

I think it's important to understand what type of memberships are being sold and the number & dollars broken up between each category. Then and only then you can get a good understanding of where each club is at. I would like to see the WC, Adelaide, Collingwood, Essendon* and Geelong break-ups inparticular!
