We're wearing it 3 times next season and trying to convince the AFL we don't need to wear it in a couple of those.

Clash jumpers are worn a minimum 2 years so baby blue again in 2012. I think we can partly thank complaining about the white ones for the change.

The figures from the annual report show that merchandise sales probably aren't at the level they were expecting with the new light blue jumper.

Wasn't a massive fan of the white jumper, but reckon it sold better.

But would it have sold better this year?
Most people who wanted it would have had it already.
They didn't have the Light Blue one though.

Probably would have been a high left over amount of the white ones in the end (weren't they being flogged off for about $20 a piece midyear?).

Throw in the costs of production of the new ones on top (which incidentally, looked quite rushed to be on shelves before round one), I doubt they're happy with the overall outcome for the first year.

You're right though, a revolving door away strip of every two years to keep the kids coming through seems a practical scheme, and lessens the temptation to stuff around with the main strip.

I wonder if any market research was done to indicate how many bought both versions (and possibly the white also).

FWIW - Rebel Sport on Chapel St had our jumpers for $50 in store today.

They'll observe the sales figures and not over-produce the top in future. It's a teething phase for all concerned.
