I reckon this is our best draw in years. probably best ever.

we play the top 4 in four sucessive games in the middle of the year, but broken up by a bye. That will really show where we are at before 8 weeks of fine tuning for a nother tilt at a flag.

fully expect top 4 this year coming

CH7 stated at the announcement of the new TV rights deal that they would show games live on HD 7MATE. Hope that turns out to be true, but I will probably keep Austar to be sure.

Regarding TV rights you have got to laugh at the attitude of the AFL.

Now, I must put it out there I do have Foxtel but this quote below is a doozy. Talk about out of touch with the fans.

''McLachlan said having five of the nine games on Foxtel was not a negative.

'If you go back in history there were games that weren't even shown at all so I think there is a lot to offer here. If you are desperate (to watch every game) you get Foxtel or you go to the pub.' "

To say that from a spokesperson at an organisational level clearly shows they do not fully understand their mass audience demographic. Seriously to glibly suggest to go out get Foxtel, to watch footy, when many families struggle to pay for their house, and eat, is ludicrous.

What? With the exception of Collingwood, we have an excellent chance of going 10-0 with that draw.

Then there's a tough run with a bye in the middle, but once we've finished playing through this year's top 4 in consecutive rounds, we have another run of soft games. It is an absolute cake walk. We aimed for top 4, we were gifted a draw to help us achieve it.

The club better be ready to pace themselves to hit hard after the bye week, and not to overload too much going for the four points in the that stretch of tough games.

whilst the draw looks good. lets not try to count our chickens, so to speak. i'm more interested in the continued development of our players, rather than whatever vagaries of the draw might suit us. if we're good enough, we'll win, regardless of the draw.

Well at least we only have to put up with three rounds of James Hird saves the world Bombers for top 4 next year before their season crashed in round 4 and 5

If you were earning big six figures (and some on big seven figures  ) you'd be saying "let them eat cake" too.

Happy with

- Hawks at G finally
- Two games against the Punt Rd Ferals
- Friday night games

Not happy with
- Cats at Etihad
- 2 interstate trips in first 5 rounds
- Monday night game

However, pretty good overall I reckon.

Maybe I am worrying too much.
I don't see anything easy in playing Collingwood, Bombers..remember how they started last year?..Freo??..with bloody wonder boy coach..and the team that was already great but decimated by injury..
Saints..well ,I have a feeling they are gonna come out screaming in 2012..Adelaide..well...will it be good Crows or bad Crows?.no certainty there. WC at their place...hmmm...Hawks..no worries there!!we'll smash 'em
Add to that the deadly geeitshard stadium games.
So, while you see 10-0..which I applaud and hope for BTW..at this point, I'm a little scaredy cat about it, and...I would like the Worry Room opened 2 weeks before seasons start, so I can transform my anxiety into a positve force.

Now, if I see a fit and comitted Waite, and Juddy busting the packs..if Robbo is still in one piece after the IR games..and in short, if I can remember how good we really are, and how this could be our year..that's another story.
But..for now..I don't think our draw is a cake walk.

The start is a little testing but the middle is the real test.

The last 8 games are pretty soft (if 2012 is anything llike 2011).

If we can get off to a flyer we will be in very good shape me thinks.

We have the best draw in the comp, even with that shit run in the middle. Let's see if we can make the most of it.

'split round' to open the season to accomodate a 'blockbuster' between the yawn sydney teams is the stupidest thing ever
