Travel 4 times before round 12 then don't travel until 2nd last game to the Gold Coast - good game to rest players leading to finals - easy run into the finals last 7-8 games

No bloody trip to WA in the last weeks

I like the draw apart from not playing up here

9 games @ Shitihad stadium.

Can't wait to get rid of this contract that ties us to this place. Don't mind playing the odd Vs. Suns / Giants / Port type games but why in the hell, especially after last years crowd, are we playing Geelong @ Etihad????? :banghead: :banghead:

Pies get a dream run yet again.

On the plus side, i'm actually really looking forward to a road trip to the gold coast in August. Metricon Stadium looks awesome.

Actually ... the draw looks pretty good I reckon.

Of the 4 teams that finished above us .. we only play Collingwood twice ... we should win 5 out of the first 6 games ...

If we had Fev, we'd win all of our first 6 games.

They don't have to play Collingwood twice.

Would have preferred tougher teams towards the end. Ideally we have top 4 sewn up by round 17 so we can start loading up on training and preparing for the finals (similar to this year only we settled for 5th a fair way out). We will probably drop a game or two during that training phase. Better for them games to be against tougher opposition so we play weaker opposition earlier while cementing our top 4 spot.

I hate that slab of Etihad games we get just after halfway point every year. We lose too many players during that period to injury. Hopefully we set up a bit better for it this year and are in a position to rest players.

Short weeks also a problem.

Overall we will be far to good for the rest and will win the flag easily.

Remind me again why it's worth being a member?

So, on internet forums, we can talk down to everyone who is not a member, labelling them 'fair-weather' supporters, disloyal, and a disgrace to the club, irrespective of their financial situations.

Love this draw. AFL Membership renewed and it looks like I'll be heading to 18 games including a timely trip to the Gold Coast in the middle of winter. Bonza!

I was worried I would be away 11th-28th June and miss some bumper games. Turns out I miss an away game to WCE and the all important Bye blockbuster, returning for the Hawks game.

Ahh, it's good to be a Carlton supporter.

Of course! Makes the cost of renewal worth it for that alone!

Four of those games are away games and have nothing to do with our arrangement.

We play 5 home games at Ethihad and 5 home games at the MCG with hopefully the Saints game scheduled for the G on the last round. I agree, the Geelong game should be at the G and then this would give us only interstate games at Ethidad.

Overall a pretty good draw:

- Only play Hawks & Cats once
- Play Brisbane twice (they will be bottom 4 again especially without Mitch Clark)
- AAMI match against Port (much better than Crows)
- Rd 22 "bye" against Gold Coast a chance to rest Juddy and a few others a couple of weeks before the finals
- No match in Sydney

Would have been nice to play twice against GWS/Gold Coast/Port but we can't really complain.
