Brock better chance to play than setanta?

don't make me laugh.

very funny.

We are talking about 2012 aren't we? Setanta is behind plenty of other tall's if and when they are fit just as Brock is behind many as an onballer. Setanta got games in 2011 due to injuries to our talls. Next year Watson should come on and hopefully Mitchell will show his ability. We have the 3 big talls/ruckman to fit in plus a re-signed T-Bird plus Waity plus Hendo plus White plus hopefully a fit Bower plus, plus, plus.

I doubt Setanta is any more assured of a game than Brock with that lot.

Regards Cazzesman

not a type we desperately need over Brock?

let's not pretend!

and Mr caz you are suggesting we need Brock.
yet we are also pushing for top four.
how many other top four aspirant clubs would be licking their chops to keep Brock on their list ? lol
bet you're gonna say everyone would.
good for the change room n around the club, excellent leadership qualities and fantastic twittering material.

I bet Brock plays games next year

Maybe they dont want to trade because there is nothing worth trading for
I havent seen any club pick anyone up so far this trade period who you would really want at carlton

I dont believe there is cap pressure and the notion that we pay someone out because he wont get a game is plain stupid he could be involved in player development in the ants like wiggo and teague did in their last years Take the heat of the kids coming through

Who were you planning on trading for Caddy? Gold Coast are asking for the moon.

We're keeping Brock because he has a contract. Breaking contracts isn't good business.

you only heard his name two days ago but you cannot blame anyone else for that.
you are heaves.

his name has been all over rumour sites for months. now its not rumour.

guessing clubs knew.
just you didn't.

doesn't matter you are unimportant.

what's important is we try getting him.

cos he is exactly the kind of player we need.

Hopefully one day soon I can upgrade to being a mouthpiece puppet. That would be awesome.

see who wants waite see what they offer and package it all up.
caddy should be a priority for us.

So we trade away the one forward who is still our best chance to tidy up our forward line next season, to a team that has a raft of tall forwards, for a player who won't contribute as intended for 18 months? Oh dear.

And then we get Fev to paper up the cracks...

You've just mortgaged our future on a borderline idiot/sociopath. The old Synbad would be horrified; the older still Synbad would have worried about the disruption of senior personnel on the long-kicking structures.

This is why you got howled out of here: you stand for very little when your supposed ethos collapses. That's why Heavs calls you a puppet. :|

FWIW - I don't think Caddy will leave GC's list, and will just be given leave of absence as needed.

Now here's the thing, you always flip-flop over what we want. Caddy a priority now, after having played two (?) games?? Just like Albert Proud right?

You look at what Simon Black gives to Brisbane.
What Selwood gives to Geelong
What Hayes gives to StKilda.
And i reckon McLean isnt too far off any of them... but youd like to think he is good to go with injuries.Dont want a Warnock scenario again...
It suits us and it suits Melbourne... they can pick one kind of footballer for every genre in the top dozen... a tall.. an inside midfielder.. remembering they will have pick 1 and Scully and Grimes is going to be a superstar in the next year or two.. theyre laughing for that kind of position.. so McLean is surplus... and they can choose a speedy player too.. all in the top dozen.

Win win...

and we do have an excellent footballer ..

Him inside dishing it out to Judd Gibbs n Murph will make a massive difference to our midfield mix

Now I do agree with a lot of what you have to say but I'm illustrating that you aren't a know-it-all as you seem to think of yourself. Two years ago you thought Mclean was the 'perfect' player for us, now it's Caddy.

Aboynamedsue, I'm wondering the same?
could Kennyhunter be referring to dealing with Brock McLean?

Sorry Synbad but the suggestion that Waite holds that kind of currency is laughable. Let's not live in fantasy world. He might be important to us but that doesn't mean that an aging injury prone forward who has never kicked 50+ goals in a season is going to have value on the trade table.

two years ago Brock was the right player assuming we gave him a medical.
can't help we use the same doctor we used for eccles and oreilly
don't know why curnow was left to play with a broken wing. why waite was brought back early and jamo left labouring on the ground with an eight week knee injury.

sure I liked mclean but I assume we have a doctor who checks players out.
the guy came in to the club severely limited in what he can do.

if we chased caddy I'd expect a medical too

that's an indictment on the club with mclean not me.
Noone said mclean could never play. just he was broken down when we offered our first pick for him .
