Judd at number 6 is just plain wrong. He did have a quiet game against West Coast but should not have diminished the season he had. In my view he was the best player this year. Had the biggest impact on games. The media and the general public have a general dislike for Juddy, which I can't fathom. Compare this to the kudos that Ablett gets constantly. The tall poppy syndrome in this country still persists.

quite simply, its because he plays for Carlton. and the media and supporters alike are fearful of the new Carlton era. bring. it. on.

They built him up during the season..the hyperbole getting more gigantic with every week.
From..
'Could he get a 3rd brownow?' to.'Not only will he get the 3rd, but are we looking at a 4th brownlow for him?'
Then it was..'Is he the greatest player ever?'
After that..it was all downhill for Juddy.
I think with Ablett, people were ready to slam him for being lazy, and a poor Captain, but he proved them all wrong, and won admiration.
From there, maybe they over compensated a bit?....and consequently, went the other way with Juddy.

His peers know the truth. That's good enough for me.

Hopefully Willo will devise some stoppage plays that will afford Juddy some support to give him space and time in 2012. Then look out as he bursts from congestion to hit Walks lace out. :smoking: :smoking:

Spot on BG72. Juddy is just a good ordinary player now it seems. Sure, the media don't go quite that far, but they have been heading in that direction lately and it's rubbed off on the average footy supporter, who now seems to believe he's finished.

I honestly don't know why people get so worked up about Mad Mike's top 50.

He clearly rates some players and not others.

Honestly how on earth could Scotland be 21st best.

If Scotland was selected in the AA team which he should have been comfortably then there wouldn't be any need to question Mike having him at 21.

Memories like.....er......goldfish.

Quiet last month, and the rest of the year is suddenly forgotten.

On the other hand Ablett only got going from Rnd 8 (Adelaide game at AAMI), yet is ranked at 2.

Not that I care.... :hitcomputer:

Not if you've been reading caufieldrover's posting history. He's a ridiculous man. ;)
