They summed it up nicely with "injury prone utility star"

Seriously, I like him, but we cannot rely on him at all
2009 - 9
2010 - 16
2011 - 12

We now play a long season, 24 rounds. We can't afford to pay him a huge wage on that return. We compromise our team with his flakiness. If he is not happy with the club's offer, then unlucky, lets trade him.

Sad, but we can't keep this up

Channel 10 said we are concerned how Waite's hip operation had recovered, and therefore only offering two years with an option - Waite wants a three year deal...

That's a new technique to tempt potential suitors.

even if Waitey stays - we probably have a max 30-35 games with him in the side.

Everything would have top go right for him to be part of our next premiership side. Time to start planning for a future without him!

sad but true

From a list management perspective we would be crazy not to try and loosen one of GWS's 9 (Top 15 Draft Picks) with Jarrad Waite. GWS were interested in Barry Hall who is 4 years older - so why not someone who is 4 years younger and at least 2 to 3 years left in them (or thats what we should be telling them  ).

I doubt he will be traded and would sincerely hope not....

Spoke to a country member last night and he confirmed it. He actually said "I confirm it and I'm a country member".

Hey Jim,

You say we have tried Hampson as a forward and he has failed.... and failed.

OK. When has Hampson ever played as a forward exclusively in ONE SINGLE game.

Let alone "failed.... and failed".

In every game he has played forward he has played parts of quarters there (generally after busting a gut in the ruck).

He has not played as a forward in any game ever. Let alone being given an extended run at a forward position. And maybe that's cos the MC don't see him as a forward. Which is fair enough, they should know.

Anyway, my problem was with you claiming he had been given plenty of opportunities and not grasped them.

I won't be commentating on this any further (unless you post something particularly inflammatory or Hammer comes out and kicks 60 goals next year Ha Ha).

No offence, OK?

Go Blues.

AGRO, you're mentioned this a number of times now, do you really think GWS are going to be handing out 1st round picks for 29 year old, injury prone, inconsistent players that haven't settled into a position yet?

We'd probably be lucky to get a pick in the 30's for Waite.
