I like many others do not really subscribe to the 'best 22' theory and believe the team should be selected based on the opponent to a certain degree. So keep in mind 1 or 2 changes based on structures could be had.

FF: Betts Kruezer Walker

HF: Garlett Waite Gibbs

C: Simpson Robinson Scotland

R: Hampson Judd Murphy

HB: Yarran Thornton Duigan

FB: Russell Jamison Laidler

B: Ellard Curnow Carrazzo

S: Houlihan

With Hendo extremely unlucky due to Waite/Thornton being in good form.

Handy Depth of: White, Army, Joseph, Collins, Warnock, Bower, O'hAilpin, O'Keefe, Touhy.. all ready to take a role.

agree with this apart from the 'S', would have Hendo as a sub in case a KPP goes down - that would kill us

HB: Yarran (180) Henderson (196) Duigan (186)

C: Gibbs (187) Robinson (188) Scotland (182)

HF: Betts (173) Kreuzer (199) Simpson (182)
F: Walker (190) Waite (194) Garlett (178)

Foll: Warnock (206) Judd (189) Murphy (179)

Inter: Curnow (182) Ellard (177) Carrazzo (187)
Sub: Setanta (199) / Thornton (193)

Emer: Houlihan (187) Hampson (201) Tuohy (187)

Would've liked to include Bower in there but I've written him off this season due to injury  ... so imo Hendo's our next best KPD option.

Best 22

Laidler Jamison Yarran

Duigan Henderson Scotland

Simpson Gibbs Lucas

Robinson Waite Garlett

Walker Hampson/ Setanta Betts

Warnock, Judd, Murphy

Kruezer, Carazzo, Russell, Amfield or Ellard (S)

There is no room for Joseph, team needs greater balance between Tall, Medium, Small.

At each end of the ground we need 2 tall, 2 medium and 2 small

I would love to see Bower in the team but can't find a spot for him.

A fit Lucas provides superior ball usage compared to Armfield.

Ideally getting Goddard and Dawes would take us a long way to a Premiership, I would be prepared to trade away some depth and draft picks to secure them, while we still have Judd.

No Zac ? Reckon he may have JR covered come round 1 next year.

3 positions open for business based on 2011. Tough ball winning mid, running mid on the bench and a key forward.

JR needs a full pre-season to get back in.

Yeah & we'll give 'em Armfield & Joseph for Goddard & Dawes!!!

How on earth do u reckon we're gonna land those 2 let alone 1, I must be missing something.

Buckley? Have you seen him play?
He'll be nowhere near our best 22 for a while yet.

Yarran needs to go further up the ground IMO

Emg. Touhy, Ellard, Thornton

I think people forget how good Bower has been at CHB in the past. I think he should get another opportunity there and that allows us to move Henderson to CHF, which greatly improves our structure.

Russell was r/u in the B&F last season, and people shouldn't write him off too quickly. IMO he's ahead of Touhy still.

I like Gibbs across half forward and in the midfield. Could kick 40 goals a season if he spends more time forward.

Kreuzer is a natural ruckman IMO. Time to forget about him being a permanent forward and trying to play the 3 big blokes. Put Kreuz where he can have the most impact on the game, and i believe that is around the footy. Hampson should be his back-up. Offer more versatility around the ground than Warnock and a bit more grunt when he comes off the bench. Warnock as a 3rd ruckman is a fantastic luxury to have and allows us to rotate some players during the year as well.

Hard to seperate Touhy and Lucas for the bench spot, but i think the back 6 looks solid & Lucas offers more through the middle of the ground at the moment. Extra rotations are important. Carrazzo would be a bit nervous about his spot too.

Lastly, I think Armfield is a terrific sub. He offers speed & takes the game on at every opportunity. Seems ideal for this role. Thornton around the team as he offers great versatility.

I like the look and the logic behind it, but Tuohy doesn't deserve to cop a regular stint in the VFL any more. Perhaps Lucas can make up for defensive application lost with Armfield.

And we've got to consider Buckley. He may be slight of build but he'll run rings around many.
