Are there even any tell tale signs of half a brain in Jeff Geischen's head.

He really shouldnt bother with his inane, illogical and unjustifiable explanations.

I have had a few days to collect my thoughts and think about the game with less emotion attached and I still come away with the view that we were robbed. The amount of incorrect umpiring decisions against us has unfairly cost us a prelim spot. Especially, when we had all the momentum. This happens so constantly in WA that I can't believe opposing teams don't put in formal complaints. I normally don't bleat about the umpires but Sat night was a farce. And to top it all off, we get this ridiculous explanation from Gieshen about the Walker incident and we are meant to just simply cop it. Chances at premierships don't come around too often which makes it even more disappointing.

Footy Gods definitley did not help us.

Cox played half a game the week before, this week he plays a full game. Do not be surprised against the cats he fails to run the game out.

The goals they scored when Robbie was right on the line, may have been goals but if they were there was centremeters in it.

Kerr had to come back this week.

Josh Kennedy looked gone, almost subbed off, comes back on and plays well.

Our injured player leaves in an ambulance

Our long shot on goal supposingly touched on the line

Murphy slung after his handball should have been down field resulting on a shot at goal

No Gibbs, Kruze, Waite - they vertually had there best side

Gibbs getting injured with 2 minutes to go against the scum

Chamberlan had to umpire our game

With all the above against us we showed true grit that we should all be very proud off.

And the amazing thing is we looked gone so many times. The size of WC bodies smashed us and looked likely to wear us down for an easy win.

Massive testament to the fitness of the team and their courage and commitment.

It is really a farcical explanation from a incompetent fool.

The fact that Geischen backed the decision makes me more sure that it was wrong.

He is using classic diversion tactic. If you don't like the answer, change the question.
The question wasn't whether Glass held Walker, although he did. The question was whether he impeded Walker so that Walker was denied a fair chance to mark the ball. By giving a mumbo-jumbo answer about what constitutes a hold, Asswipe Geischen has just given a catchphrase to the bogans and no-shows.

"But it wasn't a hold. He had the back of his hand on Walker's back"

I just can't express how stupid this man is.

It's over.
The game is lost. The season over.
No amount of whingeing about how we were robbed is going to change anything.

Time to get over it and move on.

Grant Thomas agrees that the Giesch is an incompetent flower
Quote:
"Just do yourself a favour and read the explanations from Giesch re WCE/Blues. Reasoning is world class. How can this guy be taken seriously," Thomas wrote.

"Have to applaud Geisch. He actually believes tripe coming out of his gob. Very sad that a person in such important position acts like that

"Says; all about players reading play at 1/2 time and realising if they want to win need to focus on ball and cut out little tactics. Haha

"Walker incident; 2 bodies come together & contact but if you put your arm out straight and have PALM FACING BACK not a holding motion. Gold!39FK 1st 1/2 15FK 2nd 1/2 because players changed and made ball objective. He says it with so much sincerity. Worse is umps believe him."

BTW, for anyone who doubts whether we can bounce back in 2012-2013 from what has been a 48 hours from hell, here's some perspective.

I recall those guys doing alright after this.

Hmmm. Quite right.

For the sakes and purposes of this exercise, let's just forget that year ever happened shall we?

I have cooled down since Saturday's game......

We did not win, because we were not good enough....

1. Murphy's two (2) easy missed goals
2. Simpson's easy missed goal
3. Davies' undisciplined drag in front of goal, for another goal
4. No MC creativity to get Judd into the game and to get Selwood off him....

Yes, umpiring was not great, but great sides win in spite of the umpiring....

A Premiership next year is not negotiable....

Our time is now.......

Finally emerged from the bunker to watch The Winners tonight.

I know it's been mentioned before, but I had forgotten how many long goals they kicked.

Think it wasn't until half way through the last quarter before they scored a goal that wasn't either a) from a free kick (not saying they weren't all there....just most of them  ) or b) from outside 50.

With the players we had out, playing away, some dodgy decisions, losing Thornton, and Judd well down, I still dont know how we got as close as we did.

Probably puts into perspective how good those that really stood up really were.

In some ways makes it even harder to take. When is our finals luck gonna change ? Probably if and when we field close to our best team in next year's finals series, and if we can play both of them at the G. So its top 4 or bust.

Interesting picture in the Hun yesterday on the confidential pages of the EJ Whitten Poker Tournament.

Our Murphy is in the pic with Ang, Cranium, The Dominator and a few others.

The pic was taken before he flew to Perth, but in the pic Murphy is wearing shorts and what looks to be a knee brace on his right knee. You can't really see it in this picture as opposed to the picture that appeared in the paper

Image

Have to wonder if that impeded his kicking on Saturday night.
