No to Cornes. Poor mans Carrazzo now. Synbad you talk about the modern game and its required attributes regarding Watson, yet push the Cornes barrow? He couldn't get a game at Port Adelaide due to the fact that he couldn't reinvent himself from being anything else than a slow tagger with poor up and under disposal.

Added to the fact he is part of the player revolt down there, and had been left out of leadership groups shows he might not have the character we are after either.

It's not hypocritical if you say it enough times in enough threads.

Just on Kane Cornes, first off he's contracted to Port for the next 2 seasons at around 400k per year. Port don't want him.

He played for Glenelg in the SANFL and gave his all. Got a shit load of the ball and used it well.

I ran the Auskick centre where his lad Eddy went along with the Camporeale twins. He & Campo helped out every session they went to (which was most) which was gold. Kane is a top bloke, as is Campo.

But I'll keep my ear to the ground and listen out for rumours.

P.S Kane did the City - Bay run yesterday, ran it in 42 (winner 35) and finished Top 20  Freak.

All good prospects, yet who fills our need of an inside mid or key forward? McLean was picked up to solve the inside mid problem, yes it has failed, but the rest of this list we already have types for, including Lucas who was chosen ahead of Fyfe.

I'm sure we would have somehow managed to find a spot for Fyfe :donk:

If we wanted Fyfe why didn't we take him instead of Lucas?

Spot on. We traded for a player to fill a need like Warnock and Laidler. The execution was off with Mclean instead of Ball or Kennedy, but the idea was right. We needed another grunt to take on Kerr or Priddis. The players we were allegedly after in Lucas and Pittard aren't in and under players.

Even Sydney stuffed up a bit after they recruited Seaby in the 2009 trade period. The Swans could have had Mumford and Duncan to own the 2009 draft. Sydney could have walked away with Rohan, Jetta, Duncan, Reid, Dennis-Lane, Sumner, Bradshaw, Kennedy, McGlynn and Mumford in the one post-season.

Really? After McLean debacle u really think Cornes would be the answer? The guy's washed up as McLean was when we got him. Thank goodness this won't happen, Cornes will never move interstate.

Isn't he out of contract? Port are definitely looking to move him on though.

I did float the idea previously of offering to take on Kane Corne's contract as long as Port threw in John Butcher as well.

Simon Hogan.

Definite watch this space on Dylan Roberton at Freo though. We're up to our ears into him already.

Not a fan of Cornes either, let alone at that money. Character.

Cornes is 28 & has been around since 2001. Has been a great palyer for PA

Gawn, after suffering leather poisining accumulating thousands of Dream Team points over his journey

Roberton? What position would we use him in? JR leaving is looking like reality if this is true.

I assume the much vaunted Chris Johnson role that we've struggled to fill. That 190-cmish running back, perhaps with a view to take over from Scoots in a few years.

Don't mind him. Courageous and a good tank. Just hope we don't pay overs for him.

I don't know much about Andrew McQualter the last few years, and the fact he has been delisted is hardly an encouraging sign, but I thought I might as well throw his name out there for discussion. Was pretty highly rated as a youngster if I remember correctly.

As a fellow Perthy, I'd have too say he's shown less than flower all for the Heavho's

He's like Fyfe in a way, in that he doesn't look like a footballers anus unfortunately, in Robertons case, he aint.
