Well FMD I'm shocked.

"If there's a hold there, it's generally with a clenched round-arm or a clenched fist.

What else can he say? That it was a blatant hold and the umpire cost Carlton the game. never going to happen.

Seriously now every player knows as long as nothing is clenched they can do what ever they like to the opposing player who is trying to mark.

Was the ball >5 metres away? Yes

Was the Carlton player impeded from contesting the ball? Yes

Was the oppostion player making any attempt to mark the ball? No

The free kick was there the umpires chose not to pay it.

Sumo's seem to be able to wrestle and hold without clenching thier fists?

Anyway the no call for the run down and tackle and the Q lynch holding call in the dying seconds were even more blatantly wrong.

Note to AFL players: it's OK to hold if you don't clench!

FFS, IMPEACH THE GIESCH

Seriously, this guy is a turd who changes his mind every @#$%&! week to cover his own incompetent arse and no doubt felt that if he actually admitted we were [REDACTED] that he'd end up anchored to the bottom of the Swan River.

I decided to tune in to hear what the bogans and no-shows had to say today, and of course there was the usual shit:
- Mario the Richmond (lol) supporter hailing Chamberlain as a hero
- Another Essendon* muppet pointing out that they were without Winderlich and Dempsey for the year
- The usual "who have they beaten?" shit

All of which had me cacking more than angry. But I can't say the same for Francis Leach. Normally not a fan of us at all, he got very vocal in sticking up for Ratts and the team, and thinks we're top 4 certs for next year, basically blasting the nay-sayers. I think he got a tiny taste of the shit you have to put up with when you support Carlton, and he didn't like it one damn bit

It's a bit more tolerable when your team is winning ;)

I don't think it is shite.
I usually dread when Dermie comes in...never has a good word to say about our beloveds....
but...it seems we have garnered the repect of many...
he now thinks we are right up there..
and...dare I say..
Brave even (gulp)lawyers...quick check that for copyright infringement.
Pleasantly surprised at all the positivity.

Big fan of Jamo, and I think he's a very good media performer. It seemed like he was in a empty room with two journos and no one else there!

Finally emerged from the bunker to watch The Winners tonight.

I know it's been mentioned before, but I had forgotten how many long goals they kicked.

Think it wasn't until half way through the last quarter before they scored a goal that wasn't either a) from a free kick (not saying they weren't all there....just most of them  ) or b) from outside 50.

With the players we had out, playing away, some dodgy decisions, losing Thornton, and Judd well down, I still dont know how we got as close as we did.

Probably puts into perspective how good those that really stood up really were.

this, i thought the amount of goals they scored from outside 50 was amazing. indeed if it wasnt for the extreme case i dont think west coast where in with a chance of winning.

a game of cm's if i have ever seen one. they had what 4 goals, that give or take 5cms could have been points ...

i know we lost, but its hard to be upset about the way we played.

We certainly didn't get much kudos OTC tonight

After they said they were going to talk about Carlton all they did was give Glass & Kerr, Duckwood & Darling huge wraps & put the knock on Judd & Davies

So, let's just clarify that Matthew Scarlett can now legally throw not just one, but two arms (seeing as it's not holding) back around Cam Cloke in the goal square as long as his hands are open. Gottit!
