True, but I reckon Robbo is getting off lightly to be honest. He's a shadow of the player he was in the first half of the season.

I agree, but he's actually been pretty good in our two finals.

All this Davies talk....

Does anyone seriously think he'd be in the team if Gibbs, Waite, Russell, Kreuzer et al were fit?

He was called upon, he played to the best of his ability.

Fair call.

Also can't understand the animosity towards Josh Kennedy. Same people getting pissed at the Eagles fans booing Judd?

Great effort from the lads could not fault their hearts. Warnock must be absolutely knackered great effort to take on Cox and Nic Nat.

Amazing game, never seen such inconsistent umpiring not just in terms of individual decisions but it took until the final quarter before the umpires began to umpire it like a finals game.

What I could fault is simply some of our players do not, nor ever will have either the skills nor the composure for finals footy. Need to be ruthless with our list and trades.

I felt Judd should have been rested for St Kilda game it was meaningless, he has looked tired towards the end of season and for both finals. We need to emulate Geelongs attitude to list management. Where were the players harassing Judd's opponents?

If Hampson was fit tonight he should have played. ellard should have been sub, oh well.

There's some opinions expressed in this thread that any rational person will be very ashamed they have written when they get over the hurt from tonight.

But then again, some will stand by some of the dumbest posts in TC history, stubborn to the end.

Malcolm Blight would have been P*ssed off if he had of been awarded a free kick. Seemed like he had bet his house on West Coast by his biased commentary all night.

Beat me to it. Very interesting quote.

It's pretty clear we're a midfielder short.

To get the sort of midfielder that would slot into this midfield, we will have to give up something pretty good. Elite mids don't grow on trees. We will have to give up something like Lucas, Hampson, Warnock, Garlett, maybe even Hendo. All kids we want to keep. If we want a class KPP, we will have to give up something similar. Trade time is horrible. It is important but to get a very good player, you usually have to give up at least a good one plus a pick.. Not everybody will be happy.

As much as we & the media love the Judd man, give me the Koutaman anyway in the big games! We need to turn Hammer into the Hammerman!

27 disposals @ 74% efficiency, just 3 clangers
8 marks, 1 contested
13 contested possessions, 3 clearances, 3 inside 50s
8 tackles, 4 1%ers

Mitch was a beast tonight. Anyone who thinks otherwise is obviously mad with grief...

great effort tonight from jeremy laidler.....he is a ripper and will be a sensational 200 gamer for us.

JL along with Duigan, Hendo, Yarran, Warnocks last couple of games (solo efforts), Robbo's toughness, Murphy's coming of age have made this a very enjoyable year. Thanks Blues.

Special thanks for Juddy having another outstanding year.

A midfielder on numbers, or a quality midfielder?

May I introduce you to Tuohy, Kerr & Lucas?

How retarded was the call when they showed that after the siren and one of the commentators (I think it was Blight) said that even though the free kick was there, it would have been a shame to see it paid on a technicality.

EITHER THE F^&9*(^ING FREE KICK IS F&^*&%^%$ING THERE AND SHOULD PAID, OR IT'S F&^%($(&ING NOT, YOU NUMPTY!

Luke Ball or the other Josh Kennedy would have been worth pick 11. :yikes:

So before tonight you thought he was still a Carlton player?

If he's just one of them, why didn't you single out Andrew Gaff? He's no different to Kennedy.

I'm happy for Josh. I hope for his sake the Eagles go on to win the premiership.

With all due respect, shut the @#$%&! up man.

If a bloke has been hit in the guts and wants to vent his anger out on to any particular player, leave him be. Who cares who he is venting at and for whatever reason. It's an emotional game.

3 sucessive finals losses by 7, 5 & 3 points.

As in previous years, we had our chances to win and am gutted that we didn't quite get over the line. So close yet so far.

Extremely proud of the never say die attitude though and looking forward to bigger and better things next year.

If only we had played hampson as many people had been advocating...
