Nah - I blame the red maggots, they were hopeless!

FMD!

I am. I'm pissed off, I need to vent, I'll probably take it back when my head is clearer. But at this moment he can GAGF.

What are you blaming him for though?

Its [REDACTED]!

There is plenty to look forward to next year

The Premiership window is now open.

That lapse happened because the gust dropped out of the team. All that hard work for no result. Murphy gets those two and we're six in front two minutes into the second. As it was, they went down the other end, got a couple of quick ones and the rest is history. Shout me down all you like but it's true. Good players kick those. There's no excuse.

about we focus on the positives instead of the negatives?

I'm rapt that we took it right to them. Sure we could have had that game but we didn't...

Let's now move on and take that next step and take the Cup next year.

oh and don't forget to barrack for the Pies to get heir arses kicked.

Disappointed not to get over the line, but proud of how we held on. Realistically we would have been shat on next week, fatigued and still missing too many KPP's

Lets see them build on this next year, hopefully with better luck with injuries. We're not quite there yet but I think a good preseason and the taste for the next step will make 2012 something special

As long as Collingwood doesnt win...

We just weren't good enough. We had a lot out.

Hopefully a top 4 finish next year and we get the 'officiating' going our way.

We were without important playesr today.

The only out that had an impact was Gibbs given the recent form he was in....ur right though its all about top four even though we had a great chance to get to a prelim tonight....started well then went into hiding when it counted most....

A genuine second ruckman.

A skillful mid who will make good decisions and hit targets, adds to the midfield rotation, can go forward and kick goals.

My emotions are mixed - for a want of using words that the Herald-Sun have so devalued this year it was a very brave and courageous effort - we somehow managed to contrive such a result without key forwards was unbelieveable.

I was OK immediately after the game but then vomited after having to look at Monga's face and listen to his after game analysis on

We have a lot to work with for 2012 - not the least putting some games into some younger Key Position Players - and recruiting some more mid-fielders to increase our depth and rotations there.

This is my belief...

We are one key forward away from a premiership.

That is all.

I'm still trying to comprehend Armfield getting pinged for holding the ball.
:screwy:
Then watched numerous others being let go and called play on for the rest of the game.

Because Gibbs was out and we missed his composure and creative play at half-forward.

I'm just so proud of the boys. Showed amazing spirit and desperation. We must have had 4-5 players out of our best side. Next year we will be back as a real chance for a flag. The best part of all is that after 4yrs in Europe I'll be back in Melb to watch them grow even more in 2012.

Totally TOTALLY robbed.

Jamieson's spoil in the goalsquare (in the back???) was perfect. Weagles players "handing" the ball to a teammate (throw every time). Cox (or was it Lynch) was caught red-handed (at the edge of our goalsquare) and didn't dispose of the ball properly in that last frantic minute. Tuohy has his arms blatantly chopped on the half forward line. 3rd q - Weagles player brilliantly tackled & dropped the ball ... play on??? Murphy slung by Natanui AFTER he kicked it is a free DOWNFIELD every time.

And so on, and so forth. I'm sure others could add to this list.

The AFL has a real problem on its hands with umpires who let their emotions get the better of them in front of howling interstate crowds. We're not the first team to be robbed interstate and we won't be the last but it's not good enough. The players deserve better.

Collingwood made the hard choices with O'Bree and Licuria - we need to get fair dinkum
