Mil, i dont think they have been that unkind. we are yet to beat a team above us.

if they don't give us a wrap after this weekends win......well sting them then!

they will be singing our praises early sunday morning i bet.

I didn't say that they have been unkind to us, just that they haven't given us one fraction of a chance, which is rediculous!!

I mean it's like they're previewing a Gold Coast vs Collingwood game at the G. There's no analysis, there's no clear reasoning for their selection, or outright facts, it's just: "The Eagles will be too strong at home" or "Did you know the Eagles have some good talls?".

Pathetic!!

West Coast beat us fair and square last time, but i remember coming away thinking, gees they did a bit of dinky shite that fell into place for them, like hand balls over shoulders, taps off packs and the like. That is finals suicide with the pressure that we can, and must, exert.

One of Juddy's best games of the year was roving to Mumford (and yes i know wet conditions), and it is because of that it wouldn't worry me if they went in Knockers alone. If they did that though, I would make a late change and have Bower or Hammer as the sub. Ratts before the game last week said that this year we have subbed 12 times because of injury and 8 of them have been to a big bloke.

Gibbs is a huge loss. Someone has to step up and take over his half a dozen forward 50 entries and 4 shots on goal. Who? Is Zac a good enough utility to step into this role? He has surpassed my expectations, so perhaps he can.

We can win this.

Go Blues.

They have been playing for 10 weeks straight and have come off a bruising encounter with the Pies.

We on the other hand are relatively fresh after having a bye a few weeks ago.

Over the last 2 months, they have looked very ordinary in a lot of games, due to being a long season for a lot of their youngster.. they have had an incredibly soft draw over this time frame

Cox i believe will play, but will not be in the ruck for a lot of this game.I dont believe his body will hold up to that this week due to his back...hence why i believe Warnock should be able to cope with Nic-Nat.. Nic-Nat does his best work when spelling and is not a 80-90 minute ruckmen (he was also sore last week)

Our smalls will run rings around them.. They do not have a good small defender..

The key to winning is having a good 1st quarter..These guys always start fast (even last week)..If we can stay level for the first quarter, we will smash them...

Feeling very confident for this game..Prepare to shock the world Blues!!

Some random observations from the Perth training season in no particular order:

- Pretty much same format as the session prior to the Dockers game.
- Short, sharp and plenty of voice.
- Thought the skills for the most part were very, very good.
- Hammer and Bower both trained. No JR.
- Jamo had no strapping at all. Plenty of shots at goal too…
- Judd and Murph didn’t participate in the ruck/clearance drills at the end, had shots at goal instead. Warnock/Hammer, Ellard, Mitch and Carrots did the drills.
- Setanta is a lot bigger in person than I expected.
- Seems to be a good feeling amongst the boys. Some good banter and I got a chuckle when Jamo was wrestling Hendo while he was trying to stretch down. Then Mitch got involved. Then Army….
- Lots of shots at goal at the end, from all angles.
- Judd did a lot more goal kicking this time than the Dockers session.

I’m sure others that were there will provide a better summary than mine!

Pretty good crowd again, a good 3 to 4 hundred I would estimate.

We love our Blues over here and I sure hope we smash the Weagles tomorrow.

Hey Matty - good summary. I can't wait for this clash!!

Are you heading to the Murray League GF tomorrow to watch the Tigers vs Rams? We are heading up there tonight.

Hopefully it's a repeat of 1995 where it was a whitewash of Premierships in all grades/leagues!!

Cheers,
Mil

What happened to the KFC?
(I haven't been to Subi for 15 years or more, but I'm they had a KFC inside the ground).

I'm starting to think he's more valuable than many of us, myself included, have believed. He just looks so damn goofy at times!!

It's good to have a big, menacing presence in your forward 50.
If only he'd stop playing on from the goal square. :screwy:

A bogan and no show just called SEN to say Dean Cox won't play.

Jolly had a slow start against the Eagles last week, but eventually had the better. As noted 206 is not Jolly and we're not Collingwood, but it shows there is a way to minimise their impact if we are good enough.

Thanks for the photos.

The WAFL is not showing the CFC any respect by having us train on the WACA with half the ground covered for the cricket season. I assume the Egirls train on Subiaco (Paterson Stadium)

I don't really know for sure but I suspect they choose to train at the WACA because it is ready walking distance from their hotel.

I hope the umpires were spoken to about their illegal blocking from last time we faced them.

Players were being buffeted well outside the 5m allowed, and free kicks for shepherding should have been paid on numerous occassions.

I actually think that he will at least have the guts to make the tough calls against Eagles and not be persuaded by the crowd. To be fair, I think the last time he umpired a game for us he was actually quite good.

The WACA ???

Oh sheet, it is too.

Well that explains the absence of the KFC box.

He's more likely to pull out a big call against a hometown hero than against Carlton IMO, he just loved paying 50's against Fev.

If the game gets tight in the last, watch him pull a match costing dodgy decision against us out of his crapper....
