Play Hammer and make him tag nic nat all over the ground. When he goes third up so does hammer.

Simple....well in my mind anyway.

Hampson and Warnock played that game. As did Cox and Nic Nat.

Ellard on Priddis.

Hmmmm...

Quote:
WEST Coast ruck sensation Nic Naitanui has been playing with a serious injury that almost certainly will require an operation at season's end.

The Eagles giant has become one of the league's most influential and exciting big men, despite the injury to his left shoulder.

The 201cm powerhouse looms as a major hurdle for Carlton in tomorrow night's semi-final in Perth, given the Blues will be without Matthew Kreuzer (foot).

While the specifics of Naitanui's injury remain a closely guarded secret, he has postponed surgery until the end of the year in a bid to drive the Eagles towards finals success.

Naitanui, 21, has required regular painkilling injections to allow him to keep playing.

Should be beginning training at the WACA about now.

Come on, where's our training report

I'm really scratching my head as to why we'd fly two injured players across the country (if true of course).

Especially ones who aren't even listed as emergencies, thus causing us to cop a fine if we pulled a 5th ace from our sleeve on game day.

Like Chewbacca on Endor, it does not make sense.

Neither have an injury that would be affected by a few hours in a plane, and they probably wanted to go. That they'll be about for moral & coterie support is a bonus.

Can't agree. Find it hard to fathom that the best way to nurse a crook shoulder back to health is on a plane and out and about in Perth. However, now I'll get back to my online medical degree, those specialists we have at the club know nothing

It doesn't do much harm provided he's looking after it. A sling and not falling asleep on it on the plane would generally cover that. For all we know he boarded Jeannie's jet to Perth, which means he could happily walk up and down the aisle/area for most of the flight.

Doesn't make a lot of difference here Don. It rains for 5 minutes at a time normally and the ground dries up straight away. The ground stays firm, just the grass is slippery.

Training report from another forum says that the boys are on the turf at the WACA and they are looking very good in drills. Special mention about how pumped up that the Emu and Hammer were! :smoking:

While I don't think Bower will play, I'm glad that we're making him feel a part of the senior team, because that's really where he should be at come round 1 next year.

Geez I hope we smash these guys and prove all the media doubters wrong.

Is anyone else sick of the entire football world not even giving us a chance in this game? I mean, I'm not surprised by the lack of people tipping us to win or anything, but seriously the only analysis of the way the game will play out so far has involved the following:

1 - "Carlton had a good win last week, but West Coast were impressive pushing the Pies and will be far too good at home for mine".

2 - "West Coast has too many tall forwards that the Blues won't be able to contain"

:banghead: :banghead:

What the @#$%&! do these tools get paid for? How about even a little bit of "Carlton do have a good record over at Subiaco, so they are not without a chance" or "If Carlton's midfield get first use of the ball and they get off to a good start, then they will be in the game"?

No doubt, if we do happen to get over the line the same thing will happen the following week when we come up against Geelong.

It's just getting beyond the point of a joke!!

GO BLUES!! :smoking:

Yes and don't forget "WC beat Carlton when they met in the H&A season therefore they will win this time".

Yet last week they were pumping out the "Finals are a different ballgame" line when telling us that Essendon* would beat us.

Its the totally baseless arrogance of the eagles supporters that's doing my head in. Biggest bunch of band wagoning front runners in the league. Eagles by ten goals seems to be the most popular tip over here.

Is this the team that only managed to scrape past gold cost on this ground?

Light session. Nothing much to say except all the boys were moving well.

Scotland and Setanta went in about 10 mins before the rest of the boys. Nothing to worry about.

Jamo sat out a couple of the drills but didn't look in any discomfort. Had a bit of a playful wrestle with Hendo.

Hammer and Warnock did some ruck drills, pretty standard stuff I would have thought.

Bower looks like he could come in if needed.

Edit: Damn 1000 pixels wide limit :hitcomputer:

A fellow carlton supporter just rang me to tell me "Razor Ray" is umpiring and that we are 5 goals down before the match even begins...

This should be good!!
