50 hitouts to 29 in their favour last week. This sort of dominance against us will result in things getting ugly.

I wasn't being funny, I actually wanted to know.
Your answer tells me it wasn't Wood.

My apologies

Nope, they went in with Jolly and no-one (ie Leigh Brown). Only because of how good they are around the ground were they able to win the game (as well as a feral home crowd). But for us to win, we need first use of the ball and to put their defense under pressure by putting 6-pointers on the board. We can't systematically wear them down like Collingwood did, we're not strong enough yet.

Collingwood overcame the 1 ruck versus 2 by roving a lot of the taps. Our midfield need to get in and really win those 50/50s that we seem to let slide a lot. Warnock's not the best at tapping down the throat of one of our guys and it doesn't seem like we train to have someone run through the square and be away with the ball, so it's important on Saturday that we win that ball from the ruck. That's the only way we'll get on top in the centre.

Jolly can barely get off the ground ATM and is a foot shorter that 206.

I'd still like to see Hammer in if Cox plays though.

The fact that Cox was subbed off helped a bit as well.

forget the ruck issue, losing Gibbs will have a massive impact, especially after the form he was displaying more recently.

True, but we can't do anything about Gibbs missing.

A very astute observation ;)

Still would like to see us employ that tactic a bit more though anyways...

Had a dream last night Warnock totally dominated again, crushed NicNat & Cox and did the same in the Geelong prelim and the commentators called him the 'preeminent ruckman in the game' in the leadup to the GF. We should be so lucky!

I thought Hampson may of played but I am happy with what they are doing.

Subiaco is one ground you need run and extra midfield rotations. We have that.

Our smalls and speed can create havoc is we can get our hands on the ball first. This game is really set up for us!

I had a dream last night that we hadn't scored a goal until half time and Judd had gone down with a knee injury, but we had kept the Eagles to 5 goals. We then found our mojo and got within a kick during the third but I woke up. I'll be a bit glad if that dream doesn't come to fruition, especially the Judd-knee part.

How is it that you blokes dream about the footy so much?
I should be so lucky.
When I dream it's always about my time in the Army. The other night I woke up in a panic because I couldn't remember where some of my badges were for my dress uniform.
I haven't worn a uniform since 1999!

As I said earlier in the thread.

The Pies worked their way into the game by roving to Nicnats hitouts. His work around the ground in the first qtr was great but his hitouts over the course of the game weren’t that good. Surely we have a midfield capable of doing the same.

BTW Jolly really struggled but compared to Robbie has been down on form & fitness.

Let’s hope Cox plays. He’s a giant of a man with a crook back & ankle.

Go Blues!

That's what Hammer said.

Was very positive about winning this one ... but with the absence of Gibbs the doubts have started to roll in.

Come on Blue ... do this.

Report from another forum that both Gibbsey and Krooze boarded a midday flight for Perth. Make of that what you will, but if so, we will have 27 players over there this afternoon. I guess we will know more when reports come in as to who gets sent back for the Ants. Interesting mind games being played by Ratts and co.

Also heard that the Weagles are looking at 2 late changes as a couple haven't come up. No idea who though.
