If they both don't play it's a dumb decision by Ratten to come out and say so at this stage of the week. I mean, why not make the Weavels think they'll both start and pull them out an hour before the bounce?

If they DO play it's a cunning plan that might just be crazy enough to work :sly: .

I think going off us in the past us saying they aren't playing that WCE will expect them to play... when all along they aren't :donk: :sly:

ok..if Snickers comes on and confirms that...i might believe it.

otherwise, can we re-title this thread
'Gibbs is not alright, and stop giving us false hope!'

What's the point of playing cute when we have to travel and Bryce being on the plane gives the game away?

THIS.

Also Fev's favourite airline.

It's not beyond the club to conjure something like this IMO.

Would be gold!

Send him over early for media and supporter committments, whilst wearing a sling.

Yep, then play him and strap his right shoulder..........with a big red target on it..........and an arrow that says 'hit me here'.

More time wasted on different tactics and set-ups by the opposition. That was always the point.

What did you think was the point? :P

He could do the chicken dance whilst they chase him around, meanwhile we would have won the hitout, clearance and kicked a few goals before they catch on!

I hear the air over there does wonders

But Doc Larkins, who only sees Gibbs on TV, diagnosed his injury as not sufficient to keep him out, without even speaking to the patient.

I just don't know who to trust anymore.

Most likely Gibbs wont play again this year.
Even if we make the GF.
He will have to make an amazing recovery to even play in the GF.

Cotton wool.
Club did the right thing.. knicked it on the head and allowed the focus to be on the footy.. not on the media speculation about will he wont he.

So..reading between the lines..his injury might b worse than was reported?
Reason I say that is, a lot of people who have had that injury..or know about that stuff...have said you CAN play when you have it...with a jab or two...and as the final is do or die...he should play.
Had 3 different people tell me that..either medical...or footy heads.
Ratts said the risk was if he got a knock on it...and how that would affect the team. But...wouldn't you take a risk...given if we lose, that's it?
At least that's what I'd thought...but now wondering...how bad is this injury exactly?
(here's a tissue btw Sinners. )
