I like it abns. Defence and midfield about right.

The only difference I think is that they will go with Hampson for the extra ruckman and to have varying structures in the forward line. He in for Davies IMO.

Touhy as the sub as I think JR is just really struggling.

A famous win it could well be!

He's probably on a QF or JQ flight instead of DJ, and in a disguise at that!

How did Jamo pull up after Sunday's game...?

Na, Bowser just for insurance in case of any "warm up" injuries. Can't be too careful.

Having Davies as insurance for Jamo is no longer required IMO. With Hammer in, we have the option to swing Setanta down back should we need an extra tall down back.

Bringing in Hampson will allow us huge flexibility to cover whatever the WCE throw at us. It also means Warnock and Setanta can run harder all day with his support.

If Cox does not play, Setanta and Hampson can rotate forward to stretch their defence. If he does, Hammer and Warnock can rotate to work Cox and Natinui over. WCE on the other hand, can sit on it and rotate as much as they like ... they won't have the armchair ride they had last time.

In: Touhy and Hampson
Out: Gibbs and Davies

Touhy was built for finals .... big bodied, confident, composed, fast, precise kick. When the heat's on he'll stand up.

THIS!

Touhy was awesome in the 2nd half for Ants, and probably in the top 5 against the saints. not sure why he was dropped in the first place, especially ahead of Davies!

Good ins if thats the case. Extra ruck is an absolute MUST!!!

Fly Gibbs over on Pratt air.

Setanta needs to play up front, he straightens us up and brings the ball to ground else we will end up kicking in the air above Betts and Garlett and watching it bounce back out as usual. Those two need to rove off Setanta

No doubt the TC selectors are sharpening their pencils in anticipation of this weeks ins and outs.

Depending on which way it goes, a Hampson non-selection, an Ellard or Davies selection figure to be the biggest triggers for a massive uninformed rant by 5pm.

Apparently KB has the Eagles in the box seat to thrash us.

Given the guy spends his day to day existence being embarassed by us, why does he still bother? (rhetorical)

As we know, Eagles are much bigger than us. From last week's games:

Average height

Carlton 186.5cm
West Coast 189.2

Average Weight

Carlton 86kg
West Coast 89.7kg

3 kg and 3cm per player is significant. If we can't smash them for speed on the spread and pressure on the ball carrier we're in big trouble.

If Hammer replaces Gibbs we add an average 0.6kg and 0.7cm FWIW.
