Worth pursuing. Exactly the kind of player we need.

Of course being able to do a deal with Collingwood is another matter. I guess at least we can drive his salary up, and put extra pressure on their bursting salary cap.

Yeah, neither do I. I don't mind recruiting players from other clubs when the time is right or if we are absolutely desperate but he's coming directly off a premiership with another club and it's not as if he's so good that it will make a premiership for Carlton a shoe-in. If we want to nab someone, get an up and comer who wants to make a name for himself at a better club, not someone who wants to leave a successful club for more money. It reeks of soulless murkiness where clubs are indistinguishable from one another.

Just through natural development I feel even the current list will be good enough for the flag next year. I know I'm not alone as there has been a plethora of others spruiking 2012 to be our year.
The backline is taking shape and will take over from Geelong as the premier in the league, the midfield needs no reiteration of it's quality and the forward line needs a minor tickle up, nothing more.
These are my opinions and that is why I feel Dawes hunting is excessive.
