I "resemble that remark" but I was in P19 - but I did lose my "shit" a little bit after they scored 3 goals in the first quarter after we monstered them with 5 straight behinds.

We reserved most of our anger at "The Filth" supporters in P19 Row B - who wanted to spend most of the time bating Carlton Supporters - (we know who you were because you couldnt conceal the Filth Scarfs under your coats).

But we gave you the same send off we gave the Scum supporters.

"So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, Goodnight".

We were with Blues supporters in M11 (next to Bombers in M9/10) which was great, but we had some flower in front of us, who despite presumably paying for his seat spent much of the match standing and eventually when the beers got the better of him , continuously abusing Scum supporters as they were leaving. I love banter that makes some attempt at humour, but with a vocabulary limited to words of between 3 and 5 letters it wasn't a good look. Got a late warning from security but damage had been done.

Managed to get Mrs mjs to the game (only one this year for her so far), but don't think I'll be able to get her back. A few others near us were similarly unimpressed.

Otherwise, very impressed and pleased with overall team effort yesterday. No passengers indeed.

I was in M11 too. How good was the guy in the white CFC away jumper stiring up the bummers fans with silent gestures and waves after each goal. Poetry in shit stirring.

BIC(Best in crowd) for mine

I had THE most reserved fans sitting around me....quite a few Carlton ones too...apart from a 12 or 13 yr old boy behind me yelling "Go Blues!" and waving his flag around there was no yelling, except for me of course I made a complete fool of myself and someone even prompted me to belt out an opera with their "it isn't over till the fat lady sings" comment....the most quiet and boring fans ever and it makes me wonder why they even go....

A pleasure to meet you kingkerna - can't believe I didn't pick up on the Bower link! If I knew I was sitting with a veteran of over 14000 posts on TalkingCarlton I would've behaved better, I promise!

I must say at about the 10 minute mark of that 1st quarter, all I could think was 'this is not happening to us' - and yes, that may have manifested itself in some, how shall I say, emotional outbursts.

But hey, we had a great time with your mates from then on giving the scum fans an absolute pasting - you do have a loud voice, hopefully Hurley heard your abuse!

Good to know we shared our first finals win in 10 years with a fellow TC'er. Are your mates on as well?

nope, (thankfully), normally there is another one that joins us but he wanted to bring his father and brother in law, long story short his father in law is always negative so we kind of avoided him. My stupid mate asked your dad if he knows him (idiot).

Did you notice that he got thrown out for smoking on the ramp at half time :screwy:

Was such a relief to be that far ahead and just enjoy it.
