Pros:
- We kicked 21 goals
- Murphy further built his reputation
- Thornton likewise, a great contribution from a bloke who deserves to taste success with us
- Henderson will be a cornerstone of our defence for the next 8-10 years
- Just a great team effort all round
- Judd was well held and it had little impact on our four quarter effort
- http://www.bomberblitz.com/forum/index. ... &p=2165722

Cons:
- We kicked 23 behinds, can't continue to get away with being so wasteful
- Bryce's shoulder
- Yarran's run and carry is a real strength, but he needs to learn when to run and when to get rid of it
- Not much else from today, tbh and that's really pleasing

Pro: a lot of guys who've been there through some very hard times get to taste some success. Thornton, Scotland, Simmo, Walker, Carrots and probably others I've forgotten.

Con:

Kyle Reimers scored.

We had no answers for brave Alwyn Davey.

Murphy couldn't get a touch.

As I posted elsewhere, today the Carlton Football Club stood tall when many wanted so desperately for us to fall flat on our face. Well done to the players, coaches and everyone involved

Murph - elite.
Robbie - I posted in his player thread that his time is now. Boy did he deliver. More next week please!
Thornton - absolutely sensational today.
Simmo - say no more.
Gibbs/Eddie/Jeffy/Walks - great games and converted opportunities (for the most part).
Completely dismantled our hated rival without Judd starring.
Steadying after a very shaky start.
Monkey off the back and can go into next week full of confidence.

Cons
Gibbs injury.
Laidler will likely come under MRP scrutiny.
21.23 - too wasteful but hard to fault much out of today.

I'm especially curious on Gibbs because he is so important to structure. 17 disposals and 3 goals today.

Not the guy you want to be falling over in the finals (not anyone really but Gibbs one of the least)

Bomber Blitz is hilarious. Apparently we have no upside and the Bummers are all young and are gonna hit the gym and "blitz" next year.

Oh dear :yikes:

I think it should be pointed out that they haven't updated their "Last Game" scoreboard on the front page. Surely they want to get with the times and ensure their supporters are up to date.

Being a bit harsh boys, we're going to win most games kicking 140 points plus :smoking:

Pros:

Brett Ratten - seized the coaching iniative with the Robinson/Thornton/Gibbs /Murphy set-up at the first bounce, and Essendon* couldn't cope.

Robbie Warnock - he came of age today. Imposed himself on the game, beat Hille and Ryder at the centre bounces and worked his butt off around the ground.

Lachie Henderson - had the better of Hurley for 95% of the game. On the way to becoming an elite defender.

Michael Jamison - very short of a gallop, but you'd never know it.

Cons:

I backed Betts and O'hAilpin for first goal.....

nice thing to say.............these guys have done the hard yards and are fully deserving of any success that comes there way.

A definite pro was Jeff finding some confidence on front of goal.

Too happy right now to really give a shit about the bad stuff

But anyway

PROS
- Warnock. He has arrived.
- Murphy. ELITE.
- Jeffy G and Eddie Betts. They OWN the Bummers.
- Thornton. Best game ever?
- Judd had a quiet one and we still smashed them.
- Hendo. That chase and touch on the goal line was super.
- Jamo. Great game from someone apparently only half-fit.
- Finals monkey is off the back
- Great for Ratts and some of the older players to finally get a finals win.

CONS
- Accuracy
- Should have flogged them by more
- Flogs like Reimers got 2 goals
- They got their usual soft free kicks in front of goal
- Gibbs' shoulder
- Laidler's bump

It was quite funny watching Yarran running alongside Murphy and no bummers within a mile and all of a sudden Murphy goes "bugger it, I'm stuffed, I'll give it to him" and Yazz's eyes lit up and a huge grin came over his face as he sped off with it and then proceeded to spray it.
