Agree MosquitoFleet. If his not right than bring in Bower and rest him for another week. No injured players.

disagree

Would rather play a man down then with Pb in a final, sorry just bored and want the time to go quicker, surely firing people up early will do that?

Perhaps Duigan can be used as a forward target if Carlos and T Bird struggle.

I have a feeling someone out of left field will bob up today.

The over the top criticism of selections got funnier at the season progressed, its downright hilarious this week.

For all you critics, yes you're entitled to an opinion, but have a look at what you've written and ask yourself if its worth making a clown of yourself over.

I hope the mc is right today but nobody has made a clown of themselves at all.In fact having reading some of these posts this morning for the first time, there is a strong argument that the MC has !@#$%& up.
Obviously Ratts and co want defensive pressure.
Tuohy's ommission is staggering Brad
And I reckon Lucas might just be a gun in the making who likes the big stage.

With tough man Warnock as are only big man and Essendon* capable of playing great footy(Geelong game) I find it amazing some of our supporters think we are over the line.

Our President talking about the glory days doesnt enthuse me either.

The MC have a plan Keogh and they have picked according to that plan. They are not trying to lose the game. They would know the Bombers players and what the bombers are going to try to do back to front and picked the best team they think is ready to go into combat against that.

If you look at it like that and try and work out what our plan is then any player being left out can't be seen as staggering.

I'm 3 from 3 so far. My instincts suggest a blow out today in favor of the Blues. 24-40 points. Carlton have been preparing for this for 12 months. They'll give it everything today.

Hope I'm right!

Laidley has shown today why he isn't sought after as a coach no more.
As an earlier poster said, defense is not our weakness now, it is more the fwdline.

I thought I'd be a nervous @#$%&! wreck today but I'm pretty calm at the moment. That'll probably change in the next few hours.

Yep, once a perception exists in the footy community it's very hard to shake. Was on the train yesterday sitting across from two Melbourne supporters talking about footy - they were saying 'Carlton is an ok team, but their defence is s***house. I really wanted to pipe up and say something, but thought better of it.

Just finished my morning coffee.

A short interval and then time to flush a James Hird.
