Great player.
unfortunately struck with injuries just as the team started to improve. Looked very slow this year, not surprising he retired.

But I always liked him in the team. Have spoken to him a couple of times and he's a good bloke too.

Cheers Ryan and all the best post AFL.

Congratulations Hoops!

The victim of unjust criticisms numerous times during his career. He was played out of position more often than not due to circumstances beyond his control. On the few occasions where he was played to his strengths, he showed he is class.

The fact he has played 200 games for our great club is testament to his ability (when he had the chance to show it) and loyalty. I hope the club does something to celebrate his career and/or acknowledge the service he has given.

All the best for the future Hoops

Great success story, taken #75 or something and got 200 games, limited by injury of recent times and then smart enough to get out when the writing was on the wall. A unique player in that hopefully his career will span a lost decade in between two finals wins. Shane O didn't get to use many high picks and didn't have much success with the ones he used (Vance, massie, Livo, Sporn etc) but he snagged some beauties late in drafts - Hoops, Hamill, Sexton, Fish and Norman (oh what might have been with Karl).

Hoops had faults but he was a silky skilled player and he played 200 games and got out with dignity. Well done. Being a one club 200 gamer he will always be feted by the club, a terrific achievement. And great the club let him get to 200 games, still can't forgive the bloody mindedness that left Fish stranded on 99

It's a shame he has been dogged by injury, as he was probably one of the missing pieces in our forward structure. All the best Ryan.

A great clubman in a poor era for us. Great job by the Blues MC to get him to 200 games this year.

Good player great kick and if memory serves me he was the player whom had the final kick in the last ever match at Princes Park v Melbourne.

Well done Ryan.

Congratulations on a great career. A fine clubman who had silky skills and an unflappable temperament who served the club well no matter what the role the MC gave to him. Played half back, half forward, on ball, wing and showed a lot of doubters a harder edge to his game in 2009 when he was ranked 5th at the club for hard ball gets. Cruelly robbed of a lot of games through injury.
